PS5 trick allows you to see who you're facing in Champs

I have never seen anyone talking about this before, but there is a trick on PS5 that allows you to easily see the PSN ID of your opponent in the match screen. In addition, it shows if you're home or away. I was just taught this by another user. It's extremely easy to perform and I wonder how many people have been abusing this.

Did anyone else know about this before? or was I just out of the loop all year

Is it to avoid top 200? Don't see any other use.

It should be known to EA since that is the only way they can patch the exploit.

We are all sick of WL exploiters. It's hard enough already without cherrypicking opponents. Elite players are playing against silver 1 players. It's completely unfair.

Yeah, T200 could easily abuse it. Or people could abuse it to avoid ranked players, idk. This will likely carry on to next year, if matchmaking is the same way. I can't believe no one else has found this before

I’ve never heard of this and don’t know how to do it nor do I want to but you’ve just brought it to the attention of lots of people who prob weren’t aware who will now Google it, even though you said ‘Please, let's not let it be abused.’

Would it have been better just not to bring attention to it?

However, even if you can see the ps Id before kick off not sure what you can do with it, unless you’ve a photographic memory of all those in the top 200 (unless I’m missing another reason you might want to see it)

This glitch is hard to come by naturally, so I don't think anyone big has discovered it yet. I searched for it on Google and found no mentions. So, even if people search, or try to figure it out, they won't. It requires a few specific instructions for it to work. I'm not worried about that.

Update: The glitch also shows you who is home and who is away. This would be abused 100%. You get matched up against the same person multiple times in champs, so you can easily look them up to see if they are Elite+ (usually ranked on FUTWIZ). I tried it, it works.

What's the incentive, to be honest? There is no bug bounty at EA. You find a bug, they say "Ok we will look into it". They never rewards players or anything lol

So far this is just the weirdest bragging thread of "oh look at me I know something and you don't hihihi". Either you just post how it's done or you message ea to get it fixed. Otherwise this entire thread is utterly pointless.

It shows me the latest account in online play
And once when connected to the opponent
In Kits selection i can check, but needs 10sec
I usually check in FUT live Friendly objectives, for some opponents who share wins with me , so I can Cancel if wasn't him.

But now 5 weeks objectives are in SB snd Rivals which sucks time. Seems EA know that community helps each others for easy wins or Golden Goal 🙃

Sorry, I just wanted to know if other people also knew about it. I'll probably leave it be, it's a cool feature to find your mates in games.

I honestly don't understand how can a regular WL player abuse this.

I'm on PC with much smaller player pool, I got matched with someone from top 200 maybe 1 or 2 times. A few games with top 200 from my region (I'm in US). But that's it.

So basically you are only happy when you play someone you can beat? Why not test yourself?
Really it's an example of someone manipulating the game so any achievement is inferior to that of players on ps4.
To be clear I'm not blaming you for doing it just don't think it's right some can pick and choose opponents.

I don't really play the WL anymore, I just wanted to try it out this week. I got matched up against T200 players 3 times, but chose to not play. If you knew, you wouldn't either, right? Anyway, I was just exposing this because there are tons of T200 players abusing this to get T200 by only playing easy opponents and only home. I would report it to EA, but I don't even know how.

You get ranked on FUTWIZ when you show up in the Regional T200 leaderboards (monthly or weekly). If you play your games early, you can get ranked with as low as 10-15 wins. But, if you see someone has 23-27 wins on there, they are an Elite player 99%, because you can never show up in the leaderboards with 23-27 wins and not be Elite. If you got 20 wins one week, then 5 the next, you would still not be ranked in the T200 monthly. Anything above 30+ is hard to know. Gotta use your best judgement

Ahh gotya. I did play a few WL this year where I was finished by Saturday afternoon. Maybe I snuck into top 200 in Europe with only elite 3 at the time. I know I wasn't ranked in previous years and I had elite 2 finishes in those games.

Loool, I didn't abuse it man. I used it for just a couple of games to test it out. Also, I am happy to report it to EA if they reach out, but I doubt they will. I don't have the energy to go after them.

I did that for ages and never got one. Went onto Currys/PC World to check if my local store had a specific cable in stock and thought I'd see if they'd opened up PS5 preorders or a mailing list or anything. Turns out they added new PS5 stock seconds before I got there and I managed to snag one
