The game luring you back in with mega pulls

Ok I'm curious if you guys lost/losing interest then all of a sudden a mega pull brings you back?

I've had terrible pack luck all year (not one usable red until ultimate tots)lol ...
after ultimate TOTS I decided I wasn't going to play often as I got 💩 from all previous tots WL rewards/guaranteed etc...so it gave me a 98 Ronaldo, it's like I'm obliged to play and use him (he brought the fun back)...

So now again I'm losing interest and just this WL I got 15 (as well as nice picks from the plus wins: 92 Bamba, De Bruyne and Benzema) for the swaps and decided not to enter this weekend.
Anyhow so from measly g3 I open my reds and not even paying attention I got a TOTS Neymar (over 7 mil).

The 2 players I wanted most I got and I play untradeable only, couldn't make it up. But it's at end of the cycle, and it's like EA know when you stop engaging they give a mega pull.

Happened last year. Was done with the game and decided to pack suicide.

Out comes r94 in the mid icon pack and then mid Gullit. It worked because then I played an extra 4 months

Although i haven't played the game in a while I've been looking at all the pack previews for special packs just to see what i would get.

I've seen some stupid stuff i would never normally pull.. Saw an FoF Foden, FoF Morata, Prime Baresi all within the last week or so.

Well I would suggest those are all outliers. I have packed nothing but junk for months. Preview packs included.

Nah - I don't really play fifa anymore.. just keep up to date with SBC's etc these days.

Was curious by the pack preview and just been previewing what i would get while you can.

The prime Baresi was the hardest one to not buy tbh haha

Maybe I'm just minimally engaged enough not to generate good pulls, but I haven't noticed anything crazy when I've needed to take 2 or 3 weeks away on multiple occasions.

@ImAtrocious You don’t “generate good pulls”. It’s down to chance per pack.

Can honestly say no matter whether i've played for every day in a month, or not played for 2 weeks straight, my pack luck this year has been lamentable.
I see people complaining about only packing 2 icons this year when i have packed 2 ever, the most recent one when they were still called legends 6 years ago.

Since the preview packs I haven't had 1 good pack. I even have money still on my psn I got for my birthday but looks like ea don't want my money, seems strange. Always said I don't mind putting money into a game, as long as I know what I'll be getting for my money (so I haven't had any points for like 3 or 4 years now). Even now I'll spend a little if I get something good, but I'm pretty much done with it for this year now though

I've been playing without a break and it's opposite for me.

@DokRock I was referencing the theory that the OP was suggesting, which was that time away leads to good pulls, and essentially is “generating” them. I personally don’t believe that, which is why I shared, tongue in cheek, that I must be considered minimally engaged.

How long did you stop playing for?

I didn't stop, but I just played less and only really played WL to 14 wins, but each time I decided I wasn't going to play the next WL, I got 2 mega pulls (my best ever)

@ImAtrocious Ah, ok. Fair enough. Yes, most of these conspiracy theories are laughable at best. It's a pack that has it's own probabilities that are fixed. Simple as that.

When coincidences consistently happen I don't know how people cannot see the pattern there.. there's clearly a pattern EA have for when you're not so active and there's too many accounts from people of it happening to be ignored rather than it's just some crazy made up conspiracy

Am really thinking about making a new account for Fifa 22, the packluck I have is horrible, I see all the CR7/Messi/Mbappe (red)pulls in WL, but I don't get anything besides TOTS Benzema, yet I get destroyed by CR7 and Messi everytime.
It's really unfair that people get CR7/Messi from their red picks and others don't get them, I know its luck and all but they get a big adventage because they're just more lucky.

Turned it on today for a few games and it was just boring to play.

I usually don’t care how people play but sitting there while a guy spams skills or turns around in circles was just so dull.

I just turned it off.

Did the usual and turned it on for packs from squads, pulled nothing, quick sold the dupes and then turned it off. Nothing to play for and no decent pulls at all. Best and only card that I either haven't bought or done an SBC for is basic Neymar. Genuinely not pulled anything that would go in my squad. No incentive to play the game, no icons, no promo cards from all except the what if one.

@Baldo_Maldini No, there isn't. Anecdotal stories prove absolutely nothing. It's like those who complain "SiLvEr 3 PlAyErS gEt BeTtEr PuLlLs ThAn GoLd 3". That't not how evidence works.
