As for the headers and crosses being OP.

They are saying this in every new Fifa installment and by november nobody is using target man and rather exploit through balls and dribbling.

Yeah, they are strong but nobody uses them a great deal. I still have a match every now and then where my opponent will only use the wings and crosses and I sometimes concede 3 headers a game to those guys.

Great - The game can already barely run and now they are going to make it more hungry running 120 FPS..

Its nice to have these but it all is just brushing over the fact that fifa 22 will be just as broken as fifa 21.

Can their current servers handle that? Sure it’ll be lovely in the offline modes no one plays

Don't matter what fPS they accommodate

It will skip frames and be just as crap online.

Again, fix the basics first. Then look to improve the frame rate

Doesn't matter at all for the servers.. the tickrate of the FUT servers currently is well below 60Hz anyways if I remember correctly..

If you visit Xbox page for Madden 22 it says it runs 120 fps. However the same type of page dedicated for FIFA states 60 fps. 🤔

After today's and yesterday garbage gameplay and after 6 hrs down time. You guys have the time to promote the new relabelled edition.

I really do question motive. Because there is not much good about this editions gameplay even at noon on Tuesday.

    This is fantastic news.

I'm playing on Xbox Series X but I used to play on PC and 120hz is insane improvement that most people don't realise it yet. It will make the game feel way smoother

Yes will it fix the EA severs and give proper gameplay online?

No, but it will feel smoother to the point where if you go back to 60 hz a few months later it will feel like it's lagging

It will be even more shocking online bud. Hate to be the cup of coffee. More frames on these servers will make it look worse

Yeah all AWS servers are 30 tick servers… which is strange and does contradict itself but as i said fortnite does support 120fps and although i personally haven’t played it, it is running on 120…

    Who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️

CSGO has 64 tick servers and u can still feel the improvement going from 60 to 120hz, if anything even more so

Also as @ Pelicano mentioned it doesn't show its 120 fps on the xbox page idk how accurate this leak was (the original tweet was also deleted)

    Here's madden 22 page (scroll a bit) shows 120

    https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/madden-22

Same page for fifa 22 at the bottom shows 60

The game is as slow as ❤️❤️❤️❤️. From what ive heard it’s only getting slower next year to make it more realistic. It’s people running on a pitch not rockets flying in the sky. I think 60hz will be just fine and 120hz will not make much difference to the human eye, not in this game. The time delay from pressing a button on the controller to the function getting processed and then executed in the game, I don’t see how extra frames will change that. It’s a visual improvement and not a processor/performance enhancement

Yeah, heard it's slower too.... clearly after all the feedback they just want to go this realism route, which unfortunately just doesn't work in game. They try and build a realistic game with some arcade features on top of it... just makes it unbalanced.

Yeah but real competitive matches are on 128 tick rate

Massive difference in bullet registration etc

Warzone has a tick rate of 22 so if people think a tick rate of 60 is bad i don't know what to say. Regardless, more fps means less input lag and smoother gameplay, in my opinion it must be included in the game at least at 1080p resolution.

Am playing fifa 21 already at 4K 120 FPS on Series x

Any 4K 120fps hdmi 2.1 TV with VRR will support it

I have tested it too and during gameplay it’s runs smoothly at a constant 119/120 FPS during matches

I have 1 gigabit fibre and never suffer from lag, overall happy with my experience

Gold 1 WL and rank 1 in rivals, that’s my skill level, could maybe push for elite 3 if I spent my horde of coins, but still waiting till after summer festival players which runs right after FOF.

Fifa 21 caps FPS at 60, just because it shows it doesn’t mean it actually performs it

That’s like having a 144hz monitor and then having a game play at 200+ FPS

Doesn’t matter how much it shows because the built in software doesn’t allow the game itself to go over

Fifa 21 is capped at 60 on all consoles and pc @rezyy
Defo not capped on PC if you change a few settings. I used to run it at 144fps on PC but the last one I played on PC was 19.

This is big news to, wonder how much smoother it will feel.

Time to buy a new monitor i guess.

Well, playing at 100+ fps on pc there does feel like there is a definite smoothness and clarity that is quite obvious once you go back to console...though how much of a placebo this is remains unknown.

I think it's 60fps in cut scenes but uncapped during gameplay.

Cutscenes are 30 FPS. Always were.
Could have sworn I had mine running at 60fps.

Yeah, FIFA21 on pc definitely wasn't capped I just turned vsync off in the nvidia control panel and capped my FPS to 144 that way the gameplay and cutscene were a 144FPS, the game just didn't play right at those high frames though (for me) definitely not a placebo either the smoothness was evident but the gameplay just seemed delayed and off to me. Console FIFA is miles better IMO

FIFA 21 for me runs at 138fps constant cutscenes, game, menus

Gysnc + Vsync in Nvidia Control panel + Ultra Low Latancy mode = constant 138fps.

I really hope Series S will do 120fps will make the switch so much easier, using menus on my series S when i tried fifa 21 was abysmal 30fps :( and in-game didn't feel 'smooth' after playing at 140+ none stop.

as i'm 100% Staying away from the PC version this year.

Be gutted if that's the case I have series S got it for £200 couldn't justify series X when I mainly game on a gaming pc costing £1000+

    I'll be happy with 60fps menus & 60fps in-game tho if I'm honest

Or at least give us the ability to have performance > quality
