You just know the preview packs will be junk. How can they still offer standard packs? That’s still part of the gambling aspect!
The preview packs will all be junk, but if you buy a standard pack it'll magically pop up with a few good (but not amazing) pulls in the first few you open.
Whatever they do, you know it's 100% designed to make them money and they'll employ any tactic - probably including, if deemed necessary, a naked selfie of the CEO's missus - to keep it working, however low.
Finally managed to get something of value in Preview Pack! First 87+ had OTW Suarez, Headliner Son, so it was break even, and then next was this!
All PC prices - I know there is a market crash, but the crash on Lewa is ridiculous. Should I sell or hold for a rise? Not sure if he is worth keeping?
Bought another one which had a What If Smalling, but bought to see what came next, and out popped Ramos. Have to sell because as have EOAE Ramos anyway
It really is quite simple, more people buying one pack as opposed to less people buying multiple packs, we’re talking hundreds of thousands of potential new customers here so it’s an easy and very simple trade off
This will not make them more money. They will 100% be losing money as a result of this change.
The only reason they’ve done this is to avoid regulation.
Wrong. People who spend money on packs will continue to do so regardless of the whole preview angle. What EA will have now is people who don’t normally open packs will open the preview ones and buy anything that’s good in it.
That's absolutely wrong. You definitely have no idea about why people who likes gambling open packs.
No, it isn't wrong at all.
Gamblers are NOT affected by this in any way.
With blind packs, gamblers would open a pack, get an 82 as their best card, then open another pack. The rush came from "I wonder what is in the next pack" with an extra little rush if what was in the pack was good.
With preview packs, gamblers preview the pack, see an 82 as their best card, but still have that "I wonder what is in the next pack" rush to chase, so they buy it SO THAT THEY CAN OPEN ANOTHER PACK RIGHT AWAY. They still get every single dopamine hit and adrenaline rush as they did before. They still get the pack opening animation and the Pavlovian lights flashing to tell them if they "did good" or not.
Preview packs have done NOTHING to put the gamblers off, other than adding an extra step to the process. On the other side, they've provided a potential extra layer of temptation for those who wouldn't usually spend. Who is going to turn down the chance to try their luck on a 100k pack for nothing? And who is going to leave an icon or whatever sitting in the preview when that preview gives up something good?
Actually bought 2 of the 70k packs and made small profits due to getting a couple of 30kish promo cards and the high price of 83-85 cards. Only made about 25k or so from the 2 packs after tax but better than the usual tripe.
Then this morning for the first time I got a decent 7.5k preview, the promo (can't remember which) 90 Chris Smalling. He's only about 30k or so now but kept him in case there's an English WL requirement and the rest of the pack actually covered the 7.5k anyway.

FS Barnes in the second. Did not buy it
Quick sold Silva, Szczęsny went for 22 500. Finally some profit from preview. 2nd pack only Mbabu tho.

24 gold players across the 2 packs, 9 rares, but only 4 above 79 with 82 and 81 the highest in each pack.
Same. Thought they might do some special packs like yesterday.
And the 45k pack has 81 Kampl as the best. I think these are one of the worst packs as this result seems to be the norm of these.
Did you buy it?
Greedy, I didn't even get an 84 lol
83?!!! I got an 80 and an 81 from mine haha
Summer Stars aren't in packs?
They were 13 days ago, when that image was posted...
That’s how my packs have looked every day since path to the finals team 2 lol
Noice.
Value about the same as the cost.
and I would still be 14k out of pocket
