What’s your Internet Speeds?

Right I stopped playing fifa about a month ago because I couldn’t play a game without lagging no matter what time of the day I tried. Even after midnight it lagged. I’ve jumped on today for the first time since and it’s the same thing, I can’t even play friendlies because it’s that bad, on the menu the internet is full bar green but when I go into a game it keeps giving me the red signal symbol and it lags constantly, it skips like 5 seconds forward and it goes on and on. What’s everyone’s speeds and are you encountering the same issue? I literally can’t play. I’ve got the best possible internet in my area ( South Wales ) I just don’t understand why this only happens with this game and this game only. I play newly released rust with no problems, warzone with no problem, I play DayZ no problem, I even game every now and then on my pc and I have no trouble..

I work from home too and I never encounter any problems whilst on the phone or anything. I’ve got 3 signal boosters in my household too one in my room included.

I’ve been having issues all evening. Just been playing against someone and the bar was red straight away. He was from Thailand and I’m in the U.K. how did we end up on the same server?

I’m glad I’m not the only one. I just don’t get it like I’ve wired up from the router and everything, now when I go into lobbies it says 18ms and then jumps up to something stupid like 120ms red bar. Is it always like this for you? What times can you actually play a game?

you do not even need big download speed for gaming , it is all about servers and connection , i got very fast , and have no issues with any other game , apart from fifa where i get the red connection thing every game a few times. We should be matching with people close to us when possible

I get 200 mbps and there is still lag...but only on fifa.

350mb No lag Ever but heavy gameplay quite often.

I'm in the north east, my speeds are almost identical to the OP. Wired connection, about 1 meter from the router and it's still rubbish most of the time

Just so you know..I also thought the cable length was the cause of my problems but the broadband engineer assured me that’s got nothing to do with the connection...it is just something about the game.I’m on 200MB and I usually run a test and reconnect before a game.. my LAN usually show around 190MB download and 9.0MB which is decent to play a video game. I think the servers let’s it down.

I have Fiber Internet. 600+ Down and 350+ up.

Game play still is garbage during weekend prime time. Hardwired of course

Games still sh.it, code can’t be played online, EA will still push all the connectivity issues to the user.

You guys got insane speeds compared to me!

Just played two guys though and messaged them after the game, they’re both from the UK so I’m not getting matched against anyone in Ghana so why is is still so unplayable 🥲

I don’t lag on any game only Fifa... I have the latency bar on top during the match and all I see is red and orange for 65 mins a game.. got super fast fibre broadband and still unplayable.

Have you tested your connection on your console? I get 500 down 50 up on my Xbox

That's rough. I get the bars and graphs every so often, far more than I should get it and it's laggy but nowhere near as bad as that

No issues in 99/100 games here on PC, seems many more console people are having the lag issues, my friend sometimes plays on xbox and he lives a few km from me and on xbox he has lag issues 3/10 games but never when he plays on his pc, only issues when playing on console. And you can´t compare to othe games where a couple of thousands play compared to fifa where millions play.
