I didn’t play fifa at all for 3 weeks earlier in the year, my first set of rewards when I came back I got Neymar and Ronaldo, definitely feel like it there could be something in your theory

I missed months and packed an 81
It’s lucky bro.
This is nothing in this insane theory
Should probably pin this thread to the top of the section so people can finally have a guide to building their ultimate team, that's what we waited for.

hmm maybe not, just found it strange that I went months without packing anything of value and then got them 2 in the same set of rewards on my return, probably a coincidence of course but with EA you never know!
I'm not saying it exists...but if you designed the coding for these games and and you were looking at ways to hook customers that had lost a bit of interest back into the game...I'm sure this would be the easiest and fastest way lure them back.
They know exactly how often we log in and play. Wouldn't be hard to set up a code to boost pack weight for these customers
Wouldn't it be a little bit risky to implement such mechanism in a game, that could lead to so called "perversion of intent" which produces results opposite to the desired ones. It is a known thing in busssiness and history - for example, rawarding the snake or rat extermination led to them being produced on a farms just for the rewards itself, and that led to population increasing in the area.
So let's just assume that EA's intention is to increase playtime. If detected by the player, this reward scheme could lead to players restraining from playing the game, and that would be the exact opposite result from desired one for EA.
While I can see some logic in that kind of retention mechanism, wouldn't it be even more logical to reward us straightforward for playing more often? And by that, I don't mean to actually increase pack luck - that could also be exploited by playing non stop - but just the old boring fact that you will get more packs to open and more objective cards in your club which gives you competative advantage.
I never played fifa 21. Yet in my first week, I packed CR7. That was back in September.
Since then I packed nothing.
Didn't play fifa for a whole day before What If came out. In that weekend I packed WI Papu Gomez, WI Lees-Melou, WI Wass, VVD and Neymar.
So yes, I'm doing it for FUT Bday again. I won't play fifa for at least 2 hours before the promo comes out!!
That’s absolutely right, I’ve heard people say that..Myself I started FUT in 19 but properly started playing in FIFA 20... My first pull was Neymar TOTY, Allison, kante and icon Patrick Viera, towards the end I packed Ronaldinho...But that was to lured me in, Now I play regularly I get nothing good...This year only untradeable Neymar champions league card.
Not played for a week, expecting a big pull from the fut birthday.
EA will not want me leaving.
Had given up before TOTY and out came Lewandowski. Works every time.
It’s luck and this doesn’t work lol
I didnt play for two months and then packed Mid Puskas in December, played regularly since then and no expensive or high rated promo cards since. Has some truth to it

...of course it does ...it's all about engagement..
...thing is its not just about playing games (its about how often you are logging in and more importantly the number of packs you are opening aswell)
I usually open dozens each week (grinding league sbcs) but Ive not really opened any packs at all since what IF (just two or three nothing packs when coin packs temporarily dissappeared last week)
...having stockpiled like you wouldnt believe...(doing every sbc going) ive stripped out all of the rubbish gold from my club and am scratching around for standard sbc fodder now....so each night this week ive opened a couple of the 75+ packs from Giroud / Neves / and Foundations....(basically hoping for the odd 82)
but from only 75+ packs this week ive had , Trent, Ederson, Modric, Donnaruma, x2 Gulacsi's and an IF....
....(Which is only fair as my main squad (apparently) is only 65 rated...... )
But it feels like they're trying to get my attention alright...

60 percent of the time it works every time

Last year too, TOTY Kante and an Icon both after a Two week break. I understand the sceptisism, but I think there is something in it

Seems correct, and the earth is flat and Santa is real.
