Come on EA it’s about time to break the chains of the outdated green and yellow links. Let us enjoy different players without suffering boosts. Just lock the players position to play whey they are supposed to play and let us explore the world. There is life outside France, England and Spain.

Is there another mode similar to fut but without chemistry? 😉

I agree but “without suffering boosts”. I like idea there are no boosts but if player play out of position then he gets worse...

I like the idea of building you actual ultimate team.
Get rid of chem styles boosts and chemistry imo.

People will say everyone would just use the same side don't they allready?

Chemistry is important but as Chavez says it needs a revamp. Chem style cards should go it would be the first step to a bit more realism in the game.

You mean like PES master league where the more a team plays together the better they get

PES has a lot of good concepts including being able to level up your players the more you play

I think both of the above things would be great additions to FUT in the future..
Provided they get the other things fixed ..

    Nope.

Imagine the most meta player avaliable in each position.

Thats the team you will play both with, and against every game.

Without some form of restrictions on chemistry diversity is gone.

    Terrible idea.

For most rich players yes. For us majority, no.

It would create less diversity but that’s not to say the community doesn’t want the most meta copy each others team either. All the friendlies that create diversity which I find fun a lot want out of those modes as fast as they can.

The rich players are using icons and TOTY that link already. Every other team would be the cheapest META and nothing else.

Right now if you pack a good untradeable or red pick in rewards, you have to look at creatively fitting them in using new players you hadn't considered before.

Take away that incentive and it will be the same 11 in the same formation over and over.

I don’t agree. Name more meta than, Varane, Mendy, Gomez, Pope, Walker, Kante. Which are in everybody's team already.
Now imagine fitting the players you want from last nights heroes, Dynamo, Slavia, you have to compromise a lot which puts you at a disadvantage and is restricting which isn’t the idea of UT.
The current chem system is no good. I don’t care about boosts, but you shouldn’t suffer for wanting a more diverse team.

The one thing that has been fun with the objectives this year in friendlies is that I got to play with some players that I normally wouldn't. I just wish the rating wasn't the hampering thing at times and I really liked the one where they used max chemistry as well. Maybe moving to a WL with actual team requirements would be kind of fun.

funny.....I play this game a ton and I think I've only ran out a handful of games with any of those players in my side. I hate Varane, he just doesn't suit the way that I like to play.

Back in the old days the META players were the cheapest players and overpowered. Why would you spend 1 million on CR7 when you had the GOAT Welliton & Emenike for 1k each mjlit2.png

But Career Mode gang check in

My idea is that red links can become green in your team if (for example) players played 100 matches together or something. When they play 50 matches, red becomes orange and after another 50 orange becomes green.

This is the way to go. If I take the time to play so many matches with a player, I should be able to get a loyalty bonus of some sort.

And I'm not worried about the counter argument some are using. I play against stacked teams all the time. I really don't care if somebody stacks their team up by actually putting time into the game to get chemistry boosts. It's still not going to make a LB get full chem at CB or CM at LM, etc.

I actually would like chemistry to become harder not easier, the subs should get the chemistry value they would have had if they started that position. Put another way, if the ST is chem 5 off the bench but was inserted as a sub in Midfield, he should have the same chemistry had he been in the starting lineup in that position.

I would do it the same way for in game formation change, the players chemistry should be the value of starting in that position in that formation.

Not going to be a popular thing but then again almost all popular things in this games are annoying. :joy:

I'm with this 100% as long as there is a way to earn chemistry boosts through play much like milestones. If I play 100 or 200 matches with a player, I think he should link to anybody.

Terrible idea. Every team would be just a mix of all OP players available. Just imagine that every Team would play Rooney Flashback but with Neymar/Mbappe/Kante instead of interesting choices cause of chemistry.

Chemistry is the best thing in UT.

I would support that as long as the game explicitly states which games count towards the 100, DR? WL? Friendlies? SB? I would prefer competitive on the record matches if that were to be done.

Cause now it’s different!? You see Mbappe playing as Cdm, Ronaldo as Cm to get the stupid chemistry. Rooney gets subbed in within the first 15 mins. People still use only OP cards don’t kid yourselves chemistry is a burden and a chain. Regarding positions just do it like NBA 2k or PES. If a player is a LB he can play only LB it’s locked to move him to any other position end of story this can’t be an argument to keep the stupid links. LB connects with LM one CB and one CM. It’s like they don’t play with the other players in the team. GK connects only with CB never with wing backs, crazy and stupid.

The problem i find is that you have to sacrifice 1 player to get another player in if you want max chem. so if you want Rooney then you are limited to who you can pair him with to get max chem. This is what is causing all the teams to be similar as people go for 2 same club players (mbappe/neymar, Cr7/Dybala, Varane/Mendy) This is the limiting thing as if you want certain players in your team, you then only have 1 or 2 options to accompany them.

A revision of the chem system is needed. Personally i would go more along the lines of position. Its bonkers that someone like Rooney gets only a small chem boost from playing with someone like Sterling (different leagues) even though they have played many times for England together, but gets better chem if you pair him with any english player in the championship. Id like to see chem boosts for players from old clubs or leagues for a bit more variety and lock in chem for positions that the players plays in real life (i.e you can play Cr7 and LW/RW/ST fine but if you move him to any other position he will get his stats severely reduced). Make the positions much more realistic to that player and stop them playing out of position. Do away with position cards as what the point when you can play Cr7 at cb on more chem than RW Messi at CF. This would allow a greater variety imo.

Nicely put and an interesting concept. That is my major issue with the stupid links, keep chemistry but remove the links, don’t force me to play with Klaiber if I want to play with Robben.

Or at least change the links slightly to allow for more variation. The way the game has evolved id almost say id want a perfect link between 2 players from the same league or same nationality (even from a different league). That would then allow me to use different players rather than the 2 players from the same club, or the 2 players with the same nationality and league that currently happens. At the moment players that might be meta enough for people to use aren’t really used because you need a good player to link them with and that isn’t always possible. It’s ultimate team at the end of the day not make do with an average player to get an elite player into the team.
