Can I configure my router settings so I only play people from my country?

Makes no difference at all to the general gameplay. The problem is on ea’s servers even though they won’t admit it.

if you know the ip of each server you can block the servers you don't 'want to play on

Yip. This is the only way you can know what server ur playing on. This may help little but in my experience it’s not enough

It does for me, I use the filtering for only the UK and I never get delay. I can't use it in friendlies though because it won't find a game and I get delay
