I am really disappointed by these TOTY

Yea I may be getting used to the days that TOTY were the best of the best cards, and probably it’s better fit to the game cycle but...
Come on, I really can’t help to think the concept of TOTY is dead. These aren’t TOTY. TOTY should transform the selected players to the best level. For example, TAA, being the best attacking right back for the year, should have 99 attack positioning, because he was the best in the year. He should be 99.
And now what we get is basically a fourth or fifth IF ver. Using TAA as example again, the attacking positioning is just 92.
What’s the point then?
Now if you compare these TOTY with some prime icons, you will realise that they are pretty similar. What this means is the upcoming PIM icons could be even better than TOTY.
Yea probably these TOTY will crash real hard in Feb, but it’s already too remote to me. I am just too disappointed about the TOTY cards and I don’t wanna continue anymore.

VVD has only 70 Agility and Balance, should be 99
Lewandowski, Mbappe and CR7 should have at least 99 Defensive Awareness and Sliding Tackle.

The thing is that they will make TOTS the best in the game which is nonsense
They'll still be the best until tots. TAA is litterally the only one that is sus imo.
In previous years they should be the top 3 strikers till the end of the game cycle.
Now it’s only for a few months, or even worse, since PIM is coming within weeks.
And you guys also missing the key point. There is a big big difference between a TOTY and a fifth IF. Again let’s use TAA as the example, 99 positioning makes him the best attacking full back ever by having the best overlap runs, which can totally transform your game and your play style. That’s what TOTY should contribute. Now it’s 92, which means when playing against full backs with marking over 92 TOTY TAA will not be that effective anymore. In this case this TAA is worth nothing more than 500K. Probably the next in form Tavernier could contribute more in attack.
The players did not transform into another level. That’s why i said the concept of TOTY is dead. Even the Bday Cards upgrade could offer something else more than these, just like last years BD Mbappe. We have had a great debate on this last year already re the Bday Mbappe and TOTY Mbappe.
This sucks.
These cards are still top of the chain and will be until TOTS. Yeah you have PIM’s coming in a month. Some of those will be on the same level as the TOTY cards no doubt, but 70-80% of them won’t.
I personally don’t think it’s a bad thing that players like Cruyff, Lothar, Zidane, Carlos Alberto and Eusebio can compete with TOTY cards. After all, those players are some of the best of all time and not just of the year.
At their prime, those players were much better players than the TOTY players at top of their form during last year
