From 6-0 to 8-4. Just can't seem to defend tonight, I always get goals but can't defend to save my life it seems. Plus one for the boring teams. I don't think I've played a single team without mbappe.

12 games in and I'm ditching this 1. Too much lag, can't get into a match where it's not costing me. Punishes those who try to defend rather than leaving it to the AI
Managed to get elite 3 last weekend and now started 5-4 Played all week and the gameplay was fine and started playing WL and my players don't want to make runs anymore they just stand still even when i sent them with L1 they don't move. I think it is just one of those weekends again.

If I had them untradeable I’d use them too, but I wouldn’t buy the others, many other ways of fitting them into the squad without using the same sheep everyone else does, but as long as you enjoy the game it’s all good.
4-3 last night which was enough to get the icon swap so will move onto friendlies tonight then maybe return to WL on Sunday.
Strangest gameplay I've had in a while. 1 win was 6-5 against probably the worst opponent I played. I went 6-2 up in the 2nd half and he immediately changed to constant pressure, high depth and my players turned to stone - couldn't pass the ball and my defenders all suddenly had about 12 strength and defensive awareness. Just horrible to play but thankfully I was able to hold him off to win.
2 losses were against people with the Mendy-Varane-Gomez-Semedo back line with either Pope or Allison in goal and Werner up front. Both just sat on defensive, crowding the box out with players and spamming through balls to Werner. Very frustrating.
3rd loss probably the stupidest loss I've had all year. Went 3-0 up but didn't relax, tried to keep playing as I had, but basically straight after I scored the third goal the game swung his way big time. Suddenly I couldn't make passes, my players were making poor runs, my defenders were losing challenges, 50/50s etc all the time and he went 4-3 up. I equalised to take it to ET but he scored in the 120th minute. No exaggeration, every single one of his goals was either a direct rebound or the ball kept bouncing to him after every tackle or block until it fell to a player in space for an easy shot at goal. Nothing I could do about any of them.
Positive news is that I've really got the hang of the 352 and can play against better players now, as long as the game behaves itself.
2-3. First time I've ever won any of my first 4 games, was 0-2 then 2-2. Probably gives me a harder time for the rest of the weekend now.
Lost the 5th game 9-1, to somebody who constantly spammed paranormally perfect driven through balls to Mane, with a full celebration every time. I switched to 1 depth drop back at HT just to try and stem the flow, but my players just played exactly the same way. When 7-1 up he subbed on Wamangituka, and still celebrated. Imagine doing that 30 games every weekend, what a life.
Been weird this weekend, won a couple of games really easy last night, only had an elo of +3 then came up against 3-4 really good opponents in a row, lost to a couple bang average ones too, can’t settle with my team and formation at all.
Need to win half of my last 8 for G2 which isn’t usually this much of a stress.

Yeah I've had that kind of thing happen before, but this was the first time literally every goal was a lucky bounce, usually at least one is a 'normal' goal.
9 out of 10 so far, only loss I was 4-3 up in 85th min and gave away two goals before the end of the match, a bit gutted.
Went back to 41212 narrow and it seems to click very well so far. Still aiming for my first elite, so fingers crossed I’m not gonna choke it.

True and it also holds up against 4231 for me at the moment. Have been playing 352 for a while with mixed success and tried 442 but that’s not for me. 41212 is always my go to formation when I need to reset and go back to basics.

Do you quit when you’re losing? I find that whenever I quit I get another rough match. Better to rubber and and relax and play another game after, imo.
Brand new midfield 3 this week - RTTF Wijnaldum, SMS and Rijkaard so looking forward to see how this week goes. Comfortable Gold 1 last weekend but would like to kick on a bit this week,

Yes, don't ever quit out, u need to see it through for it to count as a loss in regard to your next oppositions record

End of the first half of ET I am attacking in the final third, 3 vs 2 with one minute of injury time and the ref ends it bang on 106 minutes.
End of the second half, my opponent is in his own half, with one minute of injury time. When the clock hits 122 minutes he launches a massive through ball to his striker and he's clean through on goal to score in the 123rd minute.
