Last night at the game was dire. Reminds me of the Walter smith days. Absolute garbage.

Koemans had the dreaded vote of confidence tonight. Should just get rid now.

Has he not earned a little bit of time after cleaning up Martinez's mess?

he didnt really clean up the mess, just hid it. threw the bin bags in behind the sofa and chucked the dirty dishes out the window.

Clean up what mess? Basically apart from Baines, jags, and Oumar the team is his.

Yes, and given you finished a credible 7th last season and had a massive turnover of players, I think he deserves a little bit of time to try and show that he can make this new squad work.

Still think it's a dumb decision to sack him after 9 matches.

No it’s not. The negativity he has brought to the club was shocking. It wasn’t even this low with bobby brown shoes

Could see it coming, signed some awful players

Last season went well and he had a good track record over two years at Southampton. Additionally, your start was brutal (first 6 matches).

He deserved a few more weeks to see if he could guide you upwards.

If you were still in the relegation mix at Christmas, by all means pull the trigger because relegation is not an option for a club of Everton's size, stature, and financial power.

What benefit is there to be had from acting now? The structural issues with your squad will remain till the window.

If anything, Steve Walsh should have been sacked first.

He played so many players out of position, Playing 5 man defence at home with two CDMs, striker as a winger, number 10s all over the place, A winger in central midfield. I could go on and on.
He had to go. Christmas is to late. We’re in a dog fight now.

Unsey for the rest of the season. Promote from within the club, at least he gets what Everton is about. He has done well with the U23s.
Not interested in Dyche, Moyes etc. Just no point looking for a manager till end of season. Ours is over already.

The players are there Hatton, just used wrong. It was clear as daylight he lost the players, fans etc. Unsey could do a job short term. The whole mood will lift now.

I don't think that's entirely fair actually, they've brought in a decent crop of players considering their position. They definitely overspent though and realistically needed a proven striker to at least take half of the void they had with Lukaku gone. Seems to me it's purely down to Koeman thinking he's Pep, playing people like Siggy and Rooney on the wings rather than just playing players to their natural positions. Guy was a total fraud from the get go, hopefully we don't end up taking him

Why would he take the step down?

Allowing Lukaku to leave without a proper replacement and hoping to compensate with a deluge of attacking midfielders was pure stupid but the rest of their business was almost as bad.

Klaasen is well out of his depth and the Sigurdsson signing largely superfluous. Pickford and Martina both range from unconvincing to awful and Vlasic has looked fairly average so far. There aren't many redeeming qualities with any of them.

Pickford has saved them from further embarrassment and Sigurdsson's still a great player if he's used properly. The most baffling thing is not bringing in a recognised striker, there would at least be a focal point even if the rest of the attack isn't clicking. They also need to bin Williams as soon as possible, a walking calamity who's responsible in some way for nearly every goal they concede.

    Pickford has been terrible.
