All people do is complain and that’s why this community is so toxic. Personally, I always do the golden goal rule because let’s be honest, nobody wants to grind days just to get a horrible base icon and bunch of 83 rated players. If you don’t want to do the golden goal then that’s fine. I’ll just score another goal, normally people who don’t quit after the first goal, quits after 2-0. There have been times I’ve been dominating for the first 20 and they score a goal from one counter attack, I know I could win the game in the end but its not that deep, I’d rather just give them a win and move on. If I’m winning and they equalise, I’m going to quit. I’m not going to waste my time playing the whole game out when there’s a 80% chance the next guy will follow the golden goal rule. It’s not toxic because it’s a ❤️❤️❤️❤️ friendly, not a WL game so calm your ❤️❤️❤️❤️ all you “I wanna play the game cause it’s fun! Icon swaps was in rivals but this year there is a cap to points. Nobody will do it as you need to win games and would require you to have top teams for each league and nobody does that. Not only that we had people relegating to lower divisions so they could win games easily.

If the complaint is that it makes friendlies too competitive, then go and play literally any other type of friendly match. The one league friendly is set up to be a competition to get these specific items so it will feel more like rivals/WL and that's the point. I can see why people wouldn’t score an own goal, because in their perspective they should have technically won the game since they scored the first goal. In spite they will leave after you equalise. It is what it is, moaning on forums won’t change people’s mentalities. Either adapt or play rivals.

The thing is if I go 1-0 I do quit. If the opposition does not quit when I go 1-0 up I will just play out the match as normal.

Wow, one of the many friendly lobbies isn't enjoyable for you? You sound like a spoilt brat, play one of the many others then. Even without the quitting this would be the biggest sweatfest lobby in friendlies and you really want to play that over all others? I don't see it being enjoyable for anyone other than those who have self relegated from Div 1 to get matched up against me so I can sit through a 15 minute match where I have zero chance of winning. The reason for the rush is because most people don't enjoy friendlies so the quicker we can get it done the quicker we can get back to playing more enjoyable game modes.

The thing is if I go 1-0 I do quit. If the opposition does not quit when I go 1-0 up I will just play out the match as normal.

Yep the level of self entitlement is staggering. EA love how toxic the game is it must be good for fifa point sales.
You have to adapt or else, you'll be doing this for much longer than you should. You're not only losing out on time but also time which can be spent trading, playing SB, Rivals or WL.
And technically they also paid for the game. Quicker its done, the better it is for you and for them. If you're struggling to score, change formation. Try different methods etc. For me what worked is playing 433{4}.

Icon swaps was in rivals but this year there is a cap to points. Nobody will do it as you need to win games and would require you to have top teams for each league and nobody does that. Not only that we had people relegating to lower divisions so they could win games easily.

Hopefully they put the challenges in rivals and WL so the friendly brigade will be forced to play modes they dislike.

I have no issue if opponent wants to quit at 0-1, no problem at all. What I can’t stomach is people expecting everyone else to do the same. Much worse than this is the quitting at 1-1 because in effect they are trying to force the community to do things their way.
Just play the damn games, once you’re done you can go back to rivals or WL, you know, those modes that you constantly moan about and supposedly hate playing.
Which one, the ones who celebrate to get one over a stranger who would give them a win or the ones who would waste their own time to get one over a stranger online ?
You say this as if it's ruining friendlies, but it's just a specific type of match set-up they've put into the friendlies area. If the complaint is that it makes friendlies too competitive, then go and play literally any other type of friendly match. The one league friendly is set up to be a competition to get these specific items so it will feel more like rivals/WL and that's the point. Everyone wants everything handed to them without trying to actually play the game.
At least you’re not playing the “I’m doing it for the community bla bla bla” card. I can live with that. More in general, quitting after an equaliser is a ❤️❤️❤️❤️ move. You cannot force your contender to agree on your terms. If you want to get it done quickly then scoring an owngoal right before you leave won’t waste that much of the precious time.
Even if I was “forced” to play for tokens in rivals I wouldn’t expect the rest of the players to comply with some supposed unwritten rule that ruins the game mode for everyone.
Nobody’s moaning except you, you can’t force someone to play the full game. Friendlies mean nothing to me, it’s just a means of getting those tokens. If you want to play the full game go play rivals or WL. You can’t expect someone to take a FRIENDLY game seriously, can you?
I can see why people wouldn’t score an own goal, because in their perspective they should have technically won the game since they scored the first goal. In spite they will leave after you equalise. It is what it is, moaning on forums won’t change people’s mentalities. Either adapt or play rivals.
EDIT; And for all you moaning, I’m sure you guys aren’t complaining when YOU score first and people leave. But of course when they score first, that’s when you have a problem.
The thing is if I go 1-0 I do quit. If the opposition does not quit when I go 1-0 up I will just play out the match as normal.
I think that’s quite a fair way of doing things? I’m not ruining anyone’s game.

You were just saying seconds ago that we can’t force someone to play the full game and now you’re stating that I need to adapt, and in fact forcing me not to play a full game when I want it, or that I need to play another mode. Wow, one of the many friendly lobbies isn't enjoyable for you? You sound like a spoilt brat, play one of the many others then. Even without the quitting this would be the biggest sweatfest lobby in friendlies and you really want to play that over all others? I don't see it being enjoyable for anyone other than those who have self relegated from Div 1 to get matched up against me so I can sit through a 15 minute match where I have zero chance of winning. The reason for the rush is because most people don't enjoy friendlies so the quicker we can get it done the quicker we can get back to playing more enjoyable game modes.
There's a lot EA need to sort out and there's a real domino affect from them not doing it but from my point of view the self relegators have ruined the game for people like me so people like me are ruining it for you, enjoy.

LMAO, you’re crying cause nobody wants to spend days doing objectives they don’t like. Sure, you like doing objectives, why don’t you play silver lounge or other game modes? Nobody is forcing you to play one league and like you said, you have 18 days to complete the objective so why such a rush? Do them in the last week I’m sure everyone who’s “in a rush” to complete them would have finished them by then. You’re the only one who’s entitled here, crying about people quitting. Don’t pretend as if you’re not reaping the benefits of the golden goal rule either, when you’re getting easy wins within 5 mins.

Bro I have nothing against you enjoying the grind. Last year i grinded hella long to get those icons and I had nothing to do after so I understand that. However, there’s loads of other game modes in friendlies you could play right now. You can try to do the one league objectives in the next week or so when less people will be doing the golden goal rule.
