Damn I paid for the game I’ll play the game to the end - what’s the rush? Enjoy it, have fun. Select group of people bashing some golden goal because they want something for nothing but will complain the content is dry next week.

If you want to quit when you go behind cool - don’t bash people that want to play the game though and don’t call them toxic for doing so. What’s worse is quitting when they equalise because they just want to play and enjoy the game

the first goal scored "etiquette" is BS in my book. Most of the goals were kick off goals scored by loan mbappes... if i feel im better than you or the game helped you scored in the first 3 mins, why would I quit?

2 goal rule makes more sense. only way to show that 1st goal wasn't a fluke or bs.

But 2 goals takes longer which defeats the purpose.

    But what's the puorpose?

it could (and has) take me less time to go 2-1 up after a lucky kick off goal from my opponent, than it does starting a new game.

Well most people will quit if they score first and you then equalise and nobody then gets the win and everybody has wasted their time.
But that's not my problem, if the guy quits after i equalize, he's the douchebag, not me for playing the game lol

Why should you quit after going 1 nil down?

The game begins and ends with a whistle not pressure from a toxic environment

Because literally everyone in the community will get their tokens done if it’s first goal wins, you can do whatever you want, but I can guarantee if you do first goal wins you’ll get it done much quicker, you’re only hindering yourself by player out every game in full.

This, I quit when my opponent equalises, because I quit when I go one down in other games. I’m not wasting my time.

Yeah it’s a **** move, but you shouldn’t get a win for your opponent quitting while it’s a draw as you haven’t earnt it.

You’ll definitely get it done quicker if you play first goal wins.

It's not by force to quit after first goal. I will quit if judging by my opponent style of play he is better than me other than i am playing to win.Already got it done and i hope they put some match limit next season.
Not only quitting when it's a draw, people at kick off if your team is better than theirs. My epl team has Red Sonaldo,Rashford,Kante so everyone quits at kickoff and it's annoying.
Y'all want the icon swaps without earning it, why won't EA give us trash icons as a result

Match limit would be a disaster. Relegation would really become an issue.

It’s basicly an unwritten rule with these swaps that whoever gets the first goal wins. If they don’t quit and pull a goal back I quit so we both get the draw just to spite the opponent.

Except it’s not. I’ve had 2 quits in completing 6 wins for LIgue Un and 3 wins from 6 in PL. One was at 5-1 after 40 mins. The other was truly the only first goal wins quit, 1-0 on 60 mins.

What would you do if they do not equalize but stay until the end ? Because some stay even when the scoreline is one sided.

Like I said, I can see why people do it, I am convinced to give back since people have given me wins that way as well, granted it is not the same people but I pay back anyway.

It is leaking into other objectives though, I need goals/assists in more games than wins in some of them but people keep doing the things to induce a RQ (since I have messaging off) even when I try to signal that I am not going for the attack after I got the goal/assists in that match.

Scummy. Ask your opponent if they want to play first goal wins. If they don’t then so be it they’ve done nothing wrong.

    If they do, great.

Mate you have to realise by now everyone is just basically doing golden goal. And they make a point to quit after someone equalises

If am losing 1-0 and the player deserves it and feel is better than me I quit save us both time but if they get a lucky goal and I feel I can beat them I play on

This. Only ever quit when I go 2 goals down as at 1-0 I feel I can still turn it around. Only quit at 1-0 if the opponent is absolutely battering me when they score the first goal or is using a team far better than mine

Nope you’re wasting your own time and over peoples. I will quit when you equalise if I score first.

What would be the point of me playing on when I could get 3 more games done in the time I’m playing you. Stop being so precious

When my opponent scores first, celebrates and then pauses for me to quit , it just make me think ❤️❤️❤️❤️ you.
I play on and when I equalise they quit.
But at least they didn't get the win.

Such a self-centered logic or non logic. If only thing you cares about is saving time, you should quit when the other side keeps on playing even if you're 1-0 up. Better yet, you should score an own goal if the other person draws.

Yup if its truly to save time then this makes no difference plus if everyone who plays golden goal did it you would be getting rid of the ppl who want to play a full game quicker. Mathematically better for the "Community".

If you need 25 wins but they give 100 match limit. It's enough even if you are in division 1, i am at 2000 SR in div 1 and still did the token pretty easy

So many games today if my opponent scored first he would pause it and I’d i instantly resume, so did he so he was looking for the RQ. Every time I equalised they quit haha.

    It’s like playing children.

I quit two games but I quit on my own accord and not when they paused it.

I played this way throughout and got the tokens all done over the course of two days

No because a lot of the time I would score again then they would decide to quit.

Why would I score an own goal for someone who’s not going to quit for me, why would I do them a favour and give them the win if they’re like that.

I’m not normally like that, I give away weekend league wins and do other things to help players out but when they’re playing on they obviously don’t agree with quitting when winning or losing so just quit at the 1-1

So how many of your wins were people quitting so you could win? I’m going to say most so if we all play like you then you would of probably got 1 or 2 by now and still grinding it for another week.

So count yourself lucky most people are not like you as it’s benefitted you greatly.

Depends on your definition of benefited. Did i get them quick yes, did i get to enjoy the games no. There was no challenge and no sense of achievement. It was boring.
