One can only dream.
Microtransactions are a scourge on gaming imho. I'd obviously take a season pass option over the pure gambling of points since microtransactions are here to stay.
It's mental that people play this game all year, spend hundreds/thousands on it, still can't afford their ultimate team then throw it all away to start again next September.

Thats because we are promised a better game with the new version and we are dumb enough to believe it.

We need a complete overhaul. Game has become stale and to focused on Fifa points.
Like an above post, no one should cost 10-15million coins.
One thing I’d love to see is all icon players available from the start as a sbc. If you want prime R9 then make the sbc available from the start and let us grind towards him. Even if it’s submitting 30 teams rated 86 then so be it. Something to grind for.
The least bad option that I could see them taking. The micro transaction genie is out the bottle, sadly.
I spend a lot of time playing indie games because many make games for the love of it...as in games they would want to play themselves. I don't mind additional content from these developers because they often spend a lot of time on the DLC before releasing it. Takes me back to the days when you bought a game, then a year later the expansion came out for half the price and was often a complete new game with absolute love for the community.
Personally I feel that games like FIFA would massively benefit from a full release, then a season update with improvements for a modest amount the year later, whilst working on a full release for the following year.
The season update could be almost like a beta phase in a way where things get tested and EA works with the community to improve things.

Imagine a one off game - NOT a yearly new one. Player stats fluctuate as they play well, or as they mature and improve. They fall as players have bad runs or age.
The market wouldnt be incredible over time - you could pick up 65 rated youth players and hold them for a year or too and might end up with a million coin player.... or not. You could spend LOADS on a top player, for him to get a season long injury where his stats fall - and never be the same player again. I could VERY easily get behind that kind of "jeopardy".
No Points to buy, and no packs as such. Something like a monthly selection of players for your monthly sub and coins still earned as rewards you can use on the market. Possibly something like "1000 acquisition points" per month maybe - different from coins, and shop rather than a market you spend those points on, with all players available for a fixed number of points. Spend or same its up to you. The Coins are for use on a free market.
The gameplay would have to be fixed and make ALL styles of play viable. Want slow, strong and clinical players rather than fast, agile ones - sure both options work etc.
THAT would be a game Id invest in (emotionally and monetarily). If it was done right - with the correctr evolving over years, Id happily spend £15/month on a sub.... on top of a £60 initial outlay for the game. Thats a LOT more than I spend on my annual foray (that is sometimes missed) and no spends through the year.
Surprise mechanism (like now, with Fifa Points etc)
If you go to battlepass everyone is going to be using the same players and same teams. Unless you do surprise mechanic inside the battle pass. Like a pack that guarantee a player from the promo. But a lot of battle pass is setup so everyone gets the same rewards which will make the game boring

I dont really care.. I dont buy FP.. I dont care if others do or dont... I dont care if someone has better team than me because the spend on fp.. Its their life choice..
As long as there is somesort of progression during fifa cycle Im happy... Getting all the best players instantly would just kill the game from the start..
I've never bought FP and don't mind if people do. I understand the ethical argument but would rather stay out of it.
Apart from consistent gameplay, I want it so players are attainable without spending 40 hours a week just trading. I did like Madden last year where there was a MUT Master you build up throughout the year and he gets to 99 rated. Or the fact at the end of the game it's relatively easy to get some of the best players (golden tickets).
I think it was Fifa 18 when you could get Prime Gullit for 1m and Prime R9 for 1.5m. That was realistic and acceptable. I found it quite demotivating last year when the best version of Gullit and R9 were 10m+. I know we have loans now which means you can use them in friendlies etc But I would still prefer to be able to afford the big cards to use in any game mode, they felt like I actually achieved something by building their SBC's. Sounds strange but I felt like I had more of a connection to them instead of loan cards
*edit* One thing I will say is the friendlies objectives have been very good imo. I really like the idea of working for players. Also, having a bigger timescale like 30 days was much better than the normal 7 days
games should be a one off payment and that's it, not pay to win
get rid of contracts, rid of position changes, get rid of special cards, get rid of trading, and get rid of chemistry styles too
no card should cost 15 million
get rid of WL, get rid of division rivals and replace with complete leader board with every player on the game
only regular cards and icons with the cards getting upgrades and downgrades based on real life form
everyone can use any player in the database they want but put cap so each player can only used once in a week
so i can use R9 gullit who ever i want but only use them once in a week then i cant use them again until next week,
have tournament with league, nation, ratting requirements, bronse silver golds and caps on icons
make the consoles cross platform
and fix the servers
10000% agree at last someone with some sense.
Only thing I disagree with is the limited use of icons I would say icons 1 version period and have them start at 85 rated or similar then as you use them more and reach achievements with them eg defenders score, clean sheets etc or strikers scoring, assisting that players stats improve so then you have a reason to use them and improve them 🤷♂️. Would need to be done in an online competitive mode though to stop this being done on squad battles or friendly games
I like it the way it is atm, if you want to spend money on packs then that's fine. What I'd change is just if you're going to buy a pack, they should give a guarantee of what you'll get in it. For example, a standard gold 3 rare pack give at least 1 80+ player, mega pack maybe at least 1 82+ player ect for all the packs so you'll at least get something for your money. Whatever problems the game has, I think the worst is definitely when you open a pack like a mega pack and best you get is like a 75 conmebol player pop up and best in the pack is like a 78 rated useless player
Instead of 60$ charge us 100$ and keep the game as is. No more paying for packs, earn them by playing. The more you play the more packs you earn. That 100$ Should be all they get out of us per person.

You are so right but those days are gone. Every game drips out content with add ons now. A season pass would be great, I do it for 5-10 quid on some games I like already. That doesn't even get you ONE ultimate pack here! Absolute joke and I hope they are taken down.

Similar to buying the ultimate edition ?
Get x packs and X amount of coins very weekend you have a membership ? Packs expire after a certain period of time ?
