Best Cm next to kante after 90 gullit?

playing 442, tried baby blanc, baby vieira, pogba, if renato and the best one of the lot was...IF Renato!
i find all the others just being completely useless at defending.
I wish i could play with 2 Kante!

Did anyone else feel the same?
Who are your cdms?

If you want a pure defensive cdm next to kante i would go with Mid Makelele but for a b2b he is worthless

Weird that you didnt like Blanc defensively, he is really all over the pitch for me and intercepts a lot with his long legs

You can also try Seedorf for b2b with a bit of defence as well

I'm enjoying Keane next to Kante but probably not the best option with unlimited resources.

i play 442 (2) so technically a cdm however being next to Kante i would like someone who can get forward a bit and help in those tight games to break the defense.
That’s why i did not like Blanc much as he was just too clunky!

Oh right well you'd hate Ballack then lol. My 2 cents in a 442 Seedorf's best going forward, Matthaus is best b2b & Zidane's just class all round & his defensive stats/work rates aren't a prob in that formation. None of these are clunky.

I used him last year and I rate his mid card
Currently using a midfield of IF Kante, base Zidane and base Ballack

Matthaus is like a Kante that can shoot and you asked for another Kante 🤷🏻‍♂️

i ended up playing almost all matches with sissoko and 4mlns coins in the bank, if Zidane price will go a bit down i ll give him a go!
