I just bought my team back earlier today when players were too low, and wow.... going from Ousmane and Saint to Neymar and Mbappe, is ridiculous. The difference between them on next gen is much more noticeable than it is on prev gen
Agree. My D1 team in current gen had Hernandez Alaba and Kimpembe in defense and Mahrez with Son and Pogba etc Im just getting ripped apart by Ronaldo, Messi, Mbappe Neymar and a host of icons every game on next gen now...
Yeah dribbling with them is insane... trying to keep up with what they do is very tough.
I think the game is just much more rewarding honestly.... The ai blocks suck.... but im just re-adjusting myself back to what i did pre-patch.... i still hope they fix it soon.

The extra touches the players take makes dribbling so much more satisfying, even the basic left stick dribble, which is good.
Tackling also far less of a lottery.

and the frames dropping when there's a shot or tackle in the box sometimes.

Honestly though, even the previous gen version isn't too bad after this latest patch with the blocks being not as OP.
The tackling is still shocking though... on next gen i've yet to have a noticeable bounce back after a good tackle.
Purely because of the new animations which just let your players take extra touches to control the ball closer to their feet and keep the ball and your inputs are instantaneous.
Also i have to say... Joe Gomez just isn't that guy on next gen.....
He just can't keep up with the dribbling of neymar's and mbappe's..... he's too sluggish on this version.
He ain't that guy on old gen either lol.
Always good for a mistake hence why Varane-IF Walker is the defense of choice in tourneys with restrictions (Desailly/Alberto-Walker in tourneys without).

I can honestly say I've never had a worse footballing experience and ive been playing fifa from it first ever came out
I have to say new gen is superior in every way, so smooth with no in put delay but I have heard bad things about match making in Fut champs, that essentially it's far harder than ps4

I personally don't mind skill chaining, that's just my opinion though, if someone is playing a deep line skilling is a good counter.

Was it a HUGE problem in the old gen? Of course thats why they patched it.
Is it a problem now in new gen? Yes... but for me personally because dribbling is so responsive i am able to take my time and make it almost useless....
Here's a video i just had from the 85minute onwards of me holding a 1 goal lead while my opponent is on team press just so you believe me and don't think im saying this just to make EA sound good for whatever reason lol
Some key moments, with promes for example i was easily able to dribble myself out. Was my opponent the best player? Not really.... but doesn't matter who's hand team press is on for it to be what it is.
And as i said, i have absolutely no idea how people think this game is unresponsive for them.... i believe you 100% don't get me wrong. but for me this is one of the most responsive games ive ever played.
Also im not saying this because im winning. I'm actually having the worst WL of my entire fifa career 😂

Lol what can i say 🤷🏻♂️ It’s been good for me, obviously issues still exist, its not perfect.
But just the new animations themselves make me happy, i made a thread on fifa 20 talking about animations being the main problem about fifa you can look back at my profile if you want to read that.
And sure enough almost everything i said in there has became reality with new gen.
Switched back to old gen version. Game is more responsive on new gen HOWEVER like @TDOF mentioned, high press and AI blocks are just too much. I lost 2 WL in a row, something that never happens early on. It's mainly because the pitch is grey for me and flickers red, strains your eyes and puts you off lol. Went old gen and started winning again, definitely not as responsive whatsoever but it's playable at least.
I'm amazed they delayed the new gen version and it still feels like a rush job, shocking from EA tbh. I'd of rather them delayed until January or something. It's a mess.

Look at the transition from touch out, open up the body to the shot.
It's way more fluid than on old gen.
Yeah you're right, the difference in gameplay is actually crazy. I just played a few on the old gen and it's soooo delayed compared to the new gen version. Feels more realistic as well. The pitch flickering I'll just have to get use to until they fix it.

This is a take too far. Mbappe and Neymar are just ahead of everyone else. JG is about as close as you can get to containing them.

While gameplay is similar I still love the visuals I'm seeing on series X and ps5.
Yes some.of the stuff I don't care for but the hair, grass texture, faces look brilliant.
But oh well I'll stick to 2k 144fps "old gen" for now.

That's such a standard animation on old gen, next gen and god knows what gen. Probably existed in fifa 12 on ps3 already
