Does quick sell recover work on untradable cards as well?

I have an untradable Hazard stuck in my unassigned list. Want to use him on the Alessadrini SBC. Also want to open the bunch of untradable packs I stacked up during the weekend to get some fodders.

Can I discard the Hazard untradable and recover later after I open the packs?
