I am playing co-op with a friend. I am in division 2 and he is around 6-7, so obviously a big skill difference. However, when we play together I would expect the matchmaking to take this into account. Instead, we a constantly matched up against players on the level I would normally play against alone and therefore we get totally destroyed.
Why is this? Shouldn't there be some matchmaking mechanic that makes it fair? It is not funny to play when we never have a chance.
Also, how come we almost never play 2 vs 2? That is so much more fun and fair than 2 vs 1.
We feel like co-op has a lot of potential, but is being ruined by broken matchmaking mechanics.

Makes sense
Can anyone confirm this?
That would be horrible. No value in playing co-op unless you are on the same level then.
Then dont play rivals. How is this confusing.
Yea that's confirmed.
Because you need to do it for objectives..
They should combine the skill level and play against the same average.
Nah. That allows people to be played into divisions they don’t deserve to be in
I play with my div 5-6 friend i am in div3 and yes i think the count the highest .
I don’t have any to play with so I’m missing out
The friend in division 7 gets the same skill ranking upgrade as if he beat someone in his division, not 1000 points higher like we are matched against.
Exactly. Or at least come up with some system that allows co-op without changing the individual division level while playing co-op.
There's an option in the rivals menu to only search for co-op...
