41212 CAM positioning

I change to 41212 in game but my CAM always ends up playing a LM role, anyone else experiencing this?

Instructions to “Stay Forward”. All the “1-2” formations do this for a couple seasons.

I would say it amazes me how they've not been able to fix it after this many years now, but I won't cause EA

My guess is that somewhere in the code the CAM position defaults to “cover wing” like the CM positions do. Only you can’t access that setting for a CAM. It’s ridiculous that it is still a thing.

It’s been a big for around 3 years maybe more. Studio been looking in to it

'Stay forward' and 'free roam' fixes it, for me anyway.

It seems to be that when you don’t have the ball they settle into a 442, the cam goes wide the dm and one wide midfielder cover the centre and other wide mid defends the other wing
