I know game changers get the game early.

But also a lot of "normal" people got the game too... there's people in my area that sell them for £200-300

some people just work at places that sell them and have copies from the backs of trucks and so on..... people have connections....

Because that's going to happen anyway. There are folks on this very forum sitting here working out how they can get as many FIFA Points on as possible without wasting a single minute from the 10-hour EA Play trial. Do you honestly think that stopping a very few people from getting the game early is going to mean that you aren't facing off against 5m coin teams on day one?

A lot of these people are purchasing the game from somebody who is selling early. They'll make out like they have "contacts" or that they got it because they are FIFA c0NtEnT cReAtOrS!!! as if they're Billy Big Nuts, but they're simply shopping. There are folks selling it on Twitter. The tiny indie store 8 miles down the road from me sent out a Facebook message to their customer list earlier saying that it was available for pickup right now.

I might have been tempted if I had any interest in getting it on disc.

It won't make a difference. Those that can spend that amount on the game will spend it regardless of it being a day early or Thursday.
