  • So if Ramsey and Khedira leave we may be able to get another mid. Looks like Khedira is almost out the door but I don't see us selling Ramsey and getting that replacement before the deadline.

Suarez has passed his Italian exam, meaning the whole transfer is now entirely in the hands of Italian administrative bureaucracy.
Unless they oil the cogs a bit, there's no chance he's going to receive his passport in time...

Only hope is that in case he does get his passport before the end of the transfer window, that we'll try to get him anyway...
    I can only think Dzeko's a backstop.

I thought we got rid of expensive over-30s with Higuain and Khedira.

    At least it's just a two-year contract.

Higuain is now officially released and the announcement mentions an €18.3m loss on the 2019/20 books, I can't emphasize enough how unusual that is, even with the new FFP format (due to COVID-19) this puts Juventus in an impossible financial position. Assuming the plan isn't to fail FFP or sell most of the team, I'm guessing FFP rules will be changed again or maybe even canceled.

How did you get the announcement before Juve tweeted it out? :joy:
It's already been announced that FFP rules will be relaxed due to coronavirus, meaning we can sort of get away with losses on the books...
A bit convenient, but still not ideal.
Anyway, one down, one to go.

Even with the FFP relaxed rules that were announced (average of 19/20 and 20/21 instead of each year separately) Juve are really really far from the target, I expect more changes.

If this was a concern you’d keep Higuain, it’s extremely unusual to put any losses on the balance sheet, let alone such a large loss. That’s what makes me think another FFP change is coming.

Hold up, Dzeko's not out of the woods yet.
First, Roma want Milik to do part of his medical in Austria, where Zaniolo got surgery for his ACL, to make sure he's physically fine. Only then will they authorise Dzeko's medical to Juve.
So basically if they find something not quite right with Milik (just two broken ACLs, not a biggie), the whole deal's off and we'll have to pray to the Italian bureaucracy gods for Suarez.
