Every single game (the oppoment standing off, not the winning 2-0 part for me)
One sweaty game in WL, the guy had 0 shots +2 min added on, I went to his corner to time waste. He slides from behind and kills my player - no foul. Breaks to my end and eventually gets a corner, 3 corners later we're in 90+7, he scores a deflection. ET beckons.

Is standing off frowned upon now? I have stood off for years, why would I go bombing forward and leave gaps when I can let the other team come forward and take the ball?
Becuase you're 2 down .. so he can just keep the ball forcing you to come.out if you still stand off then you just don't wanna play the game obviously

I lost more than 300 rivals points yesterday, nothing was working, while facing terrible opponents most of the time who have no clue about football.
My hands still hurt from forcing on my gamepad to complete easy passes or player switching.
Just feels like you have to play like a thumbless braindead monkey to succeed in this bs game.

The best way to succeed on this garbage is to have no football knowledge.
I help coach a decent standard youth team, and trust me if I coached them to shoot near post or when getting to the byline chip the ball slightly in the air(double tap pass) instead of keeping it on the deck I wouldn't be coaching them for much longer!
They just play by the meta, which is not football.

I play Rocket League as well. I'm a Platinum player every day of the week. I can compete with Diamond players, and I dominate Gold players. I've never once felt that the game was "helping" a lower rated opponent to beat me. Sure, there are unfortunate bounces from time to time, but they always occur in a way that is just part of the game.
FIFA is completely different. The things that happen in FIFA often make no sense whatsoever, and are so obviously favoring a specific player, that it's nearly undeniable.
In a few weeks, I will be taking this advice for the entirety of the rest of my life, and it's because of everything outlined in this thread.
Defending on the wings and watch as my CB’s just let the ball handler just walk right past them for easy goals. Even when I have 93+ CB’s.......
