After 122 years in the football league, Portsmouth's financial mismanagement have finally caught up with them. Despite lengthy negotiations and support from the clubs fans, Portsmouth entered into administration at the end of the 2019/20 campaign and were subsequently liquidated.
But Pompey fans managed to rally together and reform the club, with A.F.C Portsmouth starting a new era in England's non-league football scene. Despite these difficulties, the new club managed to repurchase the clubs ground, Fratton Park, as well as keeping the honours and trophies collected throughout the clubs history.
After a superb season in non-league football, the newly reformed Pompey won promotion back into League 2 with a squad full of youth academy players. With an average age of 17, the youngsters now face the task of avoiding relegation from League 2. Under the guidance of newly appointed manager Mr. Kickerz, himself a promising individual, the future looks bright at Fratton Park.
