Will we ever get any communication from EA regarding the current online gameplay issues?

In online Fut. It’s pretty much unplayable for many right now.

It would be nice if the community managers were able to get some feedback from the devs and keep the community informed. The community would also have a lot more respect for the communication staff if they at least tried to get some answers.

Anyway, what do you think?

Sure we will, maybe they'll step by step you into port forwarding, maybe even ask you if you are using a wired connection.

If you're super lucky they might suggest you contact your ISP. Phew

They just say it's our fault like always even tho it's lag comp and terrible servers .

Around summer fifa 19 they turned off lag comp and was best smooth gameplay in history but only lasted 4 days till 4g and bad Wi-Fi users cried like baby's now its worse than ever each week

It's simple for them, sell more fp by any means except making the game actually work properly or making the game any good again. Record fp have been sold this year so expect 21 to follow the pattern. Sell more fp each year and the next instalment is worse. Look at the quality of the game compared to their income since let's say fifa 18, quality has gone right down while profits have risen massively. I wouldn't expect it to change

They built the lag compensation system to make more money from poor internet customers at the expense of people with good internet. They are basically playing customers off against each other for pack sales.

    Yes 😂😂😂😂😂
Of course. Pre release of FIFA 21. They tell us they took our concerns into consideration and created a new flawless gameplay experience. Marketing at its best.

Obviously they're aware of the issues: this game alone is a billion dollar plus endeavour. With that kind of money involved, there are never any loose ends. Don't be fooled guys. Even if incompetence is their hallmark, they're well aware of what's going on. Lag compensation is a very plausible theory in terms of explaining the issues online. It also ties in well with the idea that when you create a frustrating environment with brewing frustration that adds to this constant feeling of being short changed, that incentivises in-game purchases in order for people to assuage their frustration. In addendum, people rarely blame themselves for their shortcomings, so it has to be that their team is performing poorly - which is another catalyst for spending money.

Clearly, this model fits EA: (1) lag compensation allows for a broader audience; (2) the random nature of laggy matches favour the average and below average players - that are of course the vast majority; (3) frustration in addicts leads to higher dopamine cravings, and in order to minimize the frustration, they maximize the dopamine and the way they do it is from splurging on packs.

The latest pitch notes explained a lot about servers and their plans. Hopefully the survey helps too.

How come the pitch notes are no longer in the pitch notes section @RadioShaq?

I mean I’m guessing it’s not your job but all I see is Paul Scholes and no Thierry Henry if you catch my drift 😉😉

I miss the days when EA cared about their player base.
I also miss the days when it was P2P. Yeah ok you got the odd laggy game but mostly 9/10 games were smooth as hell.
I also miss matching people in England.
My last 5 games have been against people from
    3x Italy
    Belgium
    Netherlands

What the ❤️❤️❤️❤️ fk is that about.. of course I'm going to be playing with lag. You sh!tburgers.

I hope the EA FIFA team get investigated by the government because the amount of mental problems they cause people is unreal.
I'm a pretty normal bloke, decent job, fiance, own house but this game, fack me, it does not put me in a good mood.

I think the best thing we could all do is just bin this game off. It literally is the only way EA would ever do anything.

They'll only comment on it retrospectively just like last year. The only time you will hear them talk about how poor this year has been when they are looking forward and promoting FIFA 21. That’s when they tell us all exactly what we want to hear. Then a week in to the release of 21 they’ll revert everything back to the trash we have now. It’s criminal

You’re probably spot on here tbh, shame though as the yes vote was supposed to be the positive for one for EA 😂

Maybe @EA_GZaro could come in and save the day for EA and the yes vote 😛, spread some positivity with that fam lingo
