They could be changing instructions. I don’t even use any, but they could be doing that. Or they could be getting told off by their missus or bloke for playing too much Fifa 😂
What's with these guys?
Usually pause twice in the first half with no subs, they doing it to just wind you up or what?
I pause at the start of every game to move my players into the right position after a formation change.
My formation before game is 4231 wide and in game I use a 4231 narrow. When I change it the central cam goes to lam, so I have to pause to fix it.
Maybe other people are doing similar.
Huh? You can sort all that in the instructions before the game?
Nope, I’m not talking about instructions. When you change formation during a game some players swap positions. This can only be remedied by pausing and swapping them back into the position you want them, in the game.

Clearly you don't know how to swap players between positions when editing game plans before game. It took me a while to figure it out. Select a game plan, go to formation tab, press "Y" or whatever corresponding button on your controller, enjoy switching players. However, if you do not know what game plan is, I cannot help you...

This is painful to read.
When I build teams for objectives I don't really bother with formations or tactics. So I'll just pause and change the players positions in game. I'm just lazy.
Not gonna lie, I sometimes pause when there is "momentum" in the opponents favor or the match is too sweaty. Just need to kill the play a take a breather lol.

You can change player positions along with tactics in the editor before the game so you don’t need to do this, I get a bit sick of folks pausing to do this too. Think it’s in the formation page of tactics editor then press triangle to move position.-PS4

I do it sometimes whilst doing objectives, maybe to move a player's position, or take them off once they've done their bit
This.
With so many objectives in DR these days, e.g. score and assist with a Brazilian player, once they have done their bit, people pause, sub them off and restore their normal team.

This one I understand and makes sense, but it's more likely in the second half.

Or maybe some people are just ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and like to wind you up without provocation?

This for me
The regularity it's done, and that no one ever goes afk leads me to believe it's a wind up rather than real life stuff most of the time

I understand this, but I was mainly talking about people who pause in the first half multiple times but are not even making changes...
