Why does it specifically mention "or save for later!"?
Are they basically saying to keep it for better rewards at a later date such as increased TOTS pack weight?
I just find it odd to put it in there if there wasn't a reason

Is there any normal rare pl player which would fit in ur team?
Unfortunately in the real world, even if there is pl player that would fit in your team, you won't pack him...
So the more realistic way of thinking is to treat packs as money maker - you get players from the packs, you sell them, you get coins, and you buy the players you need. So the question will be, when you can make the most coins from the packs, in other words, when those normal non-interesting gold players worth more? Now or when promo out?

I just think theres something to these packs. If anyone opens early, are you getting TOTWM players? Good ratio of higher rated?
Yes, you have a much better chance of packing a TOTW that you can quicksell for 10,000 coins because those listed at 11,000 go unsold

But regardless, EA told Augero to save for later because they give him super special probability. For us plebs they have 💩
