Just played my first games since yesterdays patch. Only 3 matches WL so a small sample size, opinion may change after a bigger amount of judgment but here's my personal opinion.
1 - Defending is very much altered. I like this! No more just jockeying into a player, you really do need to manually defend. It appeared like you now need to get your defenders into position, they didn't just auto-run into passing lanes to cut off passes. Defenders seem to block/deflect balls rather than it magically stick to them when a shot comes in.
2 - Through balls seem to work how i believe they should, again due to defensive change. If a defender isn't positioned correctly then a through ball works rather than defenders unrealistically catching it/cutting it off from a couple of yards away.
3 - crossing is so much better. Noticed my attackers actually gettimg into the right position and heading/volleying with a much better success rate compared to most of this year.
4 - weak foot really does feel different. A shot from a 3* or lower weak foot is noticeably poorer. More realistic to me.
5 - skill moves seem easier to take the ball from. When performed against me, it feels like i have a fighting chance to take the ball rather than their player suddenly just flying past an inert defender.

You may need bigger sample size !
That’s totally right!
Some days my gameplay is fast and fluid, and some it’s like I’m playin with 1 rated bronze players with 1 in reaction 😂
Viva la ❤️❤️❤️❤️ fifa
Also played at peak-ish time, around 2pm.
My opinion was not swayed by the game connection/lag/delay. It was a very noticeable difference in how players perform now.
If you are used to the manual aspects of the game then you will love it. If you relied heavily on AI movements then you are screwed.
