There's always a sign when you start playing a match that you know you're destined to lose. For me it's when i make an incisive pass or attempt a through ball and it randomly decides to pass all the way back to a player in my own half, most of the time ending right at the feet of my opponents attacker.

When they auto block from 5m away after you make a perfect dribbling to open up a space
This has happened in 5 of my games so far in the first 5 mins of wl...coincidence. i think not.
Nothing works, no tactic change, no pressing, no all out attack, every pass gets intercepted, you hit the post, every shot attempt is blocked. You have these games and you know you have to lose them!
8 games left for tomorrow. Currently at 13 wins, so I guess, or better I hope it will be Gold 3 again with 15-16 wins in the end. I don't think I will get 18 wins for the second Birthday present. I always aim at Silver 1 to get the free Weekend League entry, so mission accomplished already.

Than second half started, he tackles get's a red card guess what?
He starts passing around, than heading it back to his GK and throw it to a player and repeat.

Sadly, there’s so much nonsense in this game now, so many broken mechanics, that even EA wouldn’t know where to start removing it all. I too love this game - God knows I’ve spent enough time on it over the years. The concept and basic structure of Ultimate Team is wonderful. But the gameplay needs rebuilding completely from scratch. Throw it all out and start all over again. I’d happily miss a year or two out if that’s what it takes.
At this point, the core foundations of the game are absolutely rotten, no amount of patches and tweaking will change that, and I'm pretty sure they'll be building on the same broken engine for FIFA 21.
There's plenty of topics on Reddit where people have dug into the coding and there's still features like Morale embedded in there, god knows how that affects things, but I don't trust that it's been properly removed

Have you 97 rated speed players being outrun by 70 pace defenders.
Players suddenly become unresponsive for several games, forgetting what a ball is, letting players waltz past with ease. Cant pass, cant shoot, have no pace or speed.
The list of doom, I tell my son often up 3 to 0...oh crap, I can't win this one...Messi can't make a simple pass
When the opponents players all pile through you like a freight train, yet you even look at the tackle button and it’s a booking.
When every time your striker receives the ball, no matter the distance between him and the nearest player, the opponent hits him like a magnet.
When you select a player and they automatically step away from the ball before you actually get control.
When you have a throw in and your player decides to tackle the opponent instead of creating space and room for your throw
- when people can tackle from behind and get the ball even though you are holding on L2
- when it is impossible for your player with 97 pace can’t out run a bronze defender.lol

Then I was 3 wins out of 4 games and got Gold 2. Lost all of my remaining 4 games with the luck turned around again. No 18 wins for me, no player pick, but at least Gold 2 this week.
