Across all of Europe's major competitions. I absolutely guarantee it.
With players, managers and staff all contracting the virus, with countless more certain to come and others going into precautionary self isolation left, right and centre, none of the major competitions will finish this season and they will have to be voided off as if they never happened.
You can't give trophies to teams who haven't officially won them, you can't relegate/promote teams with around 10 games of the planned season left without huge legal ramifications from the relegated clubs, so on and so forth. And with this situation not expected to peak for over another two months there is going to be no other choice - you can't postpone into June/July because players will have lost fitness, some still won't have recovered, contracts and loans for some players and staff will be coming up and it'd have a knock on affect in damaging next season too. The Euro's will be cancelled as well.
No more TOTW and they'll have to do TOTS based on what's happened up until March.
Lol, read real sources because this is painful to read... there will be three outcomes if they decide not to play out the remaining games. Serie A have confirmed there will be three options:
1) Freeze the season and continue when this is over
2) End the season now with the current table being the final standings
3) Play offs to decide which teams Qualify for CL and Europa.
Players won’t lose fitness either, they do have home gyms if club facilities are closed you do realise don’t you? These are professional athletes...
I absolutely agree, the season will be void there's no way it can stop as the table stands. The only fair way is to stop the season and start again when this is over

never gonna happen because there is way to much invested in it. How do you play champions league and euro league next year? Most likely some sort of playoff regarding the teams fighting for something during the summer.

Teams that finished in the top 4 etc last season will take the UCL spots. It'll just be as if this season never happened.
They can't relegate the teams that haven't played the games. What about the the teams in the championship who were about to get promoted? Idk how they will work this. Doesn't look like theres going to be a decent choice no matter the outcome.

I agree. Who honestly gives 2 ❤️❤️❤️❤️ about football at the moment. This season is basically ruined anyway and if Liverpool don’t win there first premier league then fine, well used to it by now.

The only way to do it imo is to start fresh from next season, as if this season never happened. It's harsh on teams currently in the promotion zone, but you can't just relegate teams with games remaining no matter if they're in the Prem, Championship, League 1 etc.
Next season will have to begin with all teams in the league in which they started this current season in, can't see how any other way is fair.

Is this coming from a fan/supporter of a team that lost any chances of winning the league this season?
How can you void something that's almost 80% done? You postpone! And yes... All of them matches will be sh*tty when they come back and play, but that's the fair thing to do.

There simply won't be time to play them.... Next season would then be delayed, knock on effect.

There is rumors that the german league will keep everybody in it and just promote the top 4 of the second division. Then have 5 or 6 teams relegate next year. This seems like the most fair solution to me. But im not sure how realistic something like that would be in england where the league has 20 teams already and there are 2 national cup competitions, might be too many games then
People’s health is more important than Football I think they will stop it.
But no way they can take the title away from us 😩
You'll get it, no-ones going to argue that you didn't win with such a lead. It's funny because people joked about the coronavirus stopping liverpool a month or so ago.

It would be funny if Liverpool still didn't have a premier league title. They deserve one, but would be funnier if they didn't get one
Agreed mate, absolutely hilarious, and all it took was thousands of people across the world to die! But as long as it prevented Liverpool from winning the league, it's ok, yeah?
Amount of people pretending they care about people's lives and health yet at the same time revelling in this disease that has killed thousands stopping a team from winning a trophy in the process.
Think about what you're saying.
And I'm sure I'll get a "lulz ur only saying dis cos u iz a Liverpool fan" from some, yet I see people saying it about Leeds fans too, West Brom, even Man Utd fans, any club that has anything at stake,
whether it be trophies or European qualification etc, you have other fans revelling in the season potentially being voided and costing those teams something. Which makes a mockery of your pretending to care that "people's health is more important"
The only reason the season could be voided is because thousands have died, thousands more WILL die, and even more are at risk of dying. But as long as it stops a club you don't like from achieving something it's hilarious, so funny etc etc.

True. But one way for having time to play those games is if you don't organise a UCL or Europa League next season and just continue with this one from where it was left of.
So put it like this. No chance of UCL and Europa League this season. Not a chance of Euro 2020 as well.... Postpone until summer and play from there.... Or finish the season as is (if more than 90% of games were played). If you win the league or top 4 you don't qualify for Europe next season because next season is supposed to carry on with the remaining matches from last season.
Also... You can't just simply void/cancel... You do that when a system has flaws. When all the steps until that final point were flawed or wrongfully done (hope you guys get the point).
When something worked up to 80-90% and not finished due to this pandemic, then you either suspend or end as is.

I understand we still haven’t won it but with only 2 wins needed from 9 games, I can only see one outcome
Meeting is getting held at 10.30am today so by 12 he should hear the outcome
Imagine being so brain-dead, lonely, and pathetic, that you'd be happy for people to die as long as those people who wear shirts that are a different colour to your favourite shirts don't get a trophy for being better at kicking a football recently.
Nonsense OP, too much to lose for all concerned. Knockout ties to determine the final important spots will be the way forward. In the prem you could have 5th v 8th, 6th v 7th to determine who plays Leicester and Chelsea for the 2 debatable cl spots (as it's that close). Then a similar method with the relegation spots.
It reduces fixtures by 7/8 matches allowing proper recovery from the dreaded virus, doesn't impose delays and issues going into next seasons schedule and is a much fairer alternative to just voiding the season.

I’m sure Liverpool fans will understand there’s more to life than football.
1) Freeze the season and continue when this is over
2) End the season now with the current table being the final standings
3) Play offs to decide which teams Qualify for CL and Europa.

You’ve not won the title.... there’s nothing to take away.
