Is toty de Ligt really that good?

Good morning from sunny Australia. It's going to be a lovely day. The bushfires are behind us. The koalas are hopping down the streets, the kangaroos are singing in the trees & Russell Crowe's in a good mood.

Before I enjoy my first cuppa, a quick question or 2.

Is toty de Ligt really as good in game as his stats suggest? Is he up there with the big boy icons like Blanc & Rio? I think I could make the links work if I was to buy him.

Yeah he is really that good. Next to TOTY Van Dijk they are 2 gods.

Hes really that good yes, though i did not like the nif vvd/toty delight combo.

Yes, he is definitely within top 4 CBs this year. Considering his price, he is very cheap. TOTY VVD and Prime (moment) Maldini are on a complete other price level.

Id rather de ligt for the perfect passing 4* wf, superior dribbling and actually pretty good shooting.

Well since you asked about De Ligt you were obviously ready to sell -Rio right ?

I would try. I mean you would lose close to nothing in tax if you have to buy Rio back in case you don't like him. You'd lose 100k or so on the two sales, not that big of a deal to try a beast. And if you like him, no need to change back.

Had the same question and tried prime cannavaro, desailly and blanc. De ligt still better

Ive used pretty much every cb in the game besides toty vvd and de ligt is good. Although i find my blanc 89 and FS tomori partnership is better than my 91 blanc and toty de ligt. A lot better actually.

So for me its 89 blanc > 91 blanc and toty de ligt. I also find FS tomori better than de ligt

I have both TOTY De Ligt and TOTY VVD. VVD is obviously the best, but De Ligt isn’t far off.

Yep, he is great. Only cheap due to poor links. He outshines all my other defenders used. Got him with flashback Ruiz atm and he is just brilliant

Jeez...that is not what I was expecting. What a card. Also been fun because it's forced me to experiment with Dutch & Juventus players. Thanks for keeping it understated guys - probably wouldn't have listened otherwise.
