Weird disconnects. What's the matter?

So I've been playing with a new fibre connection and started to encounter several same type of disconnects. Last game this happened, I was up 8-0 when the game froze, and it booted me back to FUT menu. My midfielder goals were counter (Ziyech objective), my subs and reserves had their stamina replenished, but I didn't get the win. Is this a case of something being wrong with my connection or my opponents using somekind of glitch or workaround? Just sucks that I can't play a whole rivals game anymore.
