After not being able to really get into a non-Bundesliga career, I decided to bring back my manager from last season. I am continuing Boog's story but without the two months at Chelsea at the end.

A quick refresher, Boog managed Stuttgart and won the league in his second season. Going to Real Madrid after the season but quit the Madrid job before the 2019/2020 season started. I think played a few Chelsea matches before quitting all together.

This story picks up with Boog quitting the Real Madrid job, sitting out a season and coming back to the Bundesliga at the start of the 2020/2021 season.

With the first team key players on International duty, Boog had a chance to see what the role players and academy players could do.

Bayer 04 played a 3-5-2 in the match against Atalanta but struggled to create chances. Academy call up Andre Neumann scored a penalty to make it 1-1 but then the defense collapsed allowing two goals in the final five minutes.

Manchester United played a weakend side as well with neither team creating much. Academy call up Eike Becker suffered a knee injury that will keep him out two months.

The final match for Bayer 04 was against LaLiga side Athletic Club. Leon Bailey converted both penalty chances to keep his side in the match. Neumann had a chance to win the match but missed an open header in the last minute.

I'm guessing with two points the pre season tournament is over for Leverkusen
