Defending After Latest Patch

Since the patch yesterday I have dropped from division 4 to division 6 & I cant work out what the hell has happend/changed

Reading the pitch notes nothing should have effected my game play. I do not use drop back.

I considered myself a good defender and was actually enjoying defending in the game. Since the patch I cannot do this anymore. My Jockey movements are slow and players are just running through me. I try to place my players in position to intercept yet they do not intercept. They allow the ball to go right by them.

I dont use meta overpowered players in the game. I am quite frugal when it comes to coins I dont buy packs ect..

I honestly do not know what they have done but please change defending back to what it was previously

I use ultra defensive now. I've changed my formation (to adapt) over and over until something works. Don't ask me what has happened, because I do not know. You just have to adjust now and live with the gameplay. Over all ultra-D has worked pretty well for me; so far.

Get used to the patches jacking things up bro. It never fails. Patch notes are just side notes full of poop. Game has major issues. Ever defended a player and he would just "stop" while your momentum pushes you away like you are skating on ice? Yea...well...its not acceptable. People saying get used to this dont care about gameplay. They play online and only care about winning in a method that's not realistic and is not football. My son plays that way...online and ping pong football. Watching him play gets me dizzy asf. He doesnt care about gameplay, he only cares about winning and going up divisions. Not being able to defend, ping pong football and the unrealistic aspect of the game doesnt concern him. He is 10. Go figure.

I've gotten use to the gameplay a bit over the last few days. The game isn't that bad. I shouldn't have bad mouthed it before the patches. Now the play is pretty good. Thinking about buying now. Defending isn't that hard, just push the D-pad left and use ultra defending. I've deleted FIFA 17 and am just playing 20 now.

Attempting to change style and still nothing working. I think player switching and AI positioning has been altered I the latest patch. I use R1 for player switch I cant adapt to the DPAD. My players are running away from the opposition It's getting so frustrating. I am not just losing I am getting hammered conceding 4 or 5 in a game now. Never have I been this bad. Before the patch it was fine.

Everyone has dembele, Costa, benyedder rashford lucas and never used to be an issue for me because I could defend... filipe used to be my top defender nothing would get by him, now he's useless.

I fear the game is going to force me to play in a way I dont want too. I refuse to buy Hernandez, Akanji, militao ect..

I dont see many people complaining about this on the latest patch. Red cards and shooting issues I have not experienced. It's very odd....

It's crazy how alot of people here mention Fifa 17. I will go look for my 17 and play it man. Smh. That's just sad but I will have to do it. Smh.

I don't know if you're new to FIFA or not. The players never run toward the ball, most always back up and will cut the wrong way. The passes will go the wrong way and you can't switch to the player that you want, among other things. That's just FIFA. The D-pad isn't for switching players, it's pushed left to defend more in a match.

The Game is literally full of ❤️❤️❤️❤️ holes doing stupid drag back dribbling changing direction so fast. my defenders can no longer counter this tactic due to whatever they have changed in the latest patch.

EA sports you are absolutely disgusting created a horrible game now.

I guess I'll go buy dembele lucas and rashford and play like 95% of everyone else..

Look out, 17 will seem real fast, even on slow compared to 20.

its pretty obvious to me that there are times when EA changes something with a Fifa patch but doesnt list it as one of the changes in the pitch notes.. maybe thats to avoid more controversy. i dont know.
