Fifa 20 has the worst passing of any fifa game I've ever played

I've never seen so many passes going to players you never aimed at, I'd say at least 40% of my passes are to the wrong player and it costs you games because it's impossible to play attacking football when it's happening

Maybe you are rushing your passes? Not had this experience at all (in general).

Keep the fifa trainer on while you play, helps massively with learning how the passing mechanics work

Nope I don't spam A with my passes i play slower it's nothing I'm doing wrong on my end It just goes to players it clearly wasn't meant for

You actually have to consider your opponents position and the travel of the ball before you pass and you can't 180 with 100% accuracy EVERY PASS anymore(that I've seen)

Passing is awful this year, constantly under hit and hardly ever goes where you aim!

The worst thing they done was remove the option to turn OFF the power pass assistance a couple of FIFA's ago, thats where 90% of the passing issues come from!

Agreed. It’s genuinely as if the slider settings in-game randomise and you cant change them. It’s bizarre.

Passing is fine for me, it’s cut out a lot of the unrealistic passes from previous versions.

If you truly feel like "you're not doing anything wrong on your end" then that is more of a problem than the game.

This. Sometimes I can play perfect passes, and the next minute the same player can’t pass 10 yards without having a striker intercept it perfectly.

I feel it's much more realistic. Passing shouldn't be automatic, and good passers should stand out.

In the game where EA alter the settings it's out of my control. I'll play 5 games and in 4 of them passing is fine then there'll be one game where for no reason the games passing is completely different

I have an issue not with accuracy necessarily but if two people are in the same direction it seems to always go to the furthest person in my experience. That’s pretty annoying

Passing stat is important this year. Passes for Pirlo or Kdb are easy and accurate af

If you have played mystery ball, the passing boost shows, to me at least, that passing is fine.

What i think EA have done this year is nerf the blind passes and also make the passing stats of the players more realistic. As we arent use to this it feels "off" or "inaccurate" when in actual fact its probably working exactly as planned.

I'm not saying passing as a whole I'm talking about how every now and then you have a game where for no reason the passing is shocking

I'm glad I'm not alone. Every few games the passes literally go any direction but the one you want. Breaking though and they decide to pass backwards etc

Passing is bad in terms of player locking 100%. Also the ability to switch play is kinda dead this year

I've been on the counter in matches where I've pressed pass to a player in front of me in yards of space and it's gone behind me to my defence, not sure why this happens, it's not me as by now I know how to aim a pass

Only thing ❤️❤️❤️❤️ is the shooting the ❤️❤️❤️❤️ setting is set on manual.

The passing as such is fine. It’s the pass locking on to the incorrect receiver that is frustrating and I believe that’s what the OP refers too.

I’ve had a few counter attacks where I have a simple pass on ahead of me, I aim ahead of me to play that pass, but every now and then, for some reason the pass will go to another player on the side.

A bad pass in that circumstance isn’t down to a high rating or low rating, it’s down to bad passing mechanics.

I didn’t think passing was that bad. Need some errors to make up for more manual defending though can’t have full on ping pong passing back.

It feels ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and good at the same time thats why, if they improve headers abit , massively reduce rebound goals , improve accuarcy for low drivens and make player switching easier it could be a good game but at the moment there is too many rage worthy things going on.
