Pes 2020

Guys, I know this is a FIFA forum.. However given the current state of the FIFA 20 and career mode and the possibility of having to wait God knows how long I have decided to invest in Pes 2020.

This is has been a massive eye opener for me. Sure pes in the past has produced arcade like games when it comes to the football. However, after playing it I am gob smacke of how real the game feels and plays..

I have brought the extra kits, badges, names for all the non licensed teams for a £5 and I honestly can't tell the difference..

Master league itself has made some huge step ups this year and the overall experience has been so much fun (so far). Pes 2020 still has a lot more they can improve on in terms of visual presentation in the menus.. But given them the benefit of the doubt the gameplay and realism makes up for this.

I urge to take advantage of FIFA 20 massive ❤️❤️❤️❤️ ups and venture and experience pes 2020. I may even be considering a permenant change.

Unfortunately Microsoft does not allow port option files so PES on XBox is unlicensed aside from partner clubs and leagues. The option file is only for PC and PS4

I bought PES a few weeks ago and I’m loving it. EA needs to step their game up

PES is atrocious, i dont see how anyone thinks its realistic

the game gets played inside the box because how deep defenders go straight away! there is no excitement or fast goals

dont take this to mean FIFA is realistic, cause it aint, but atleast its responsive and fun

I bought PES 2020 last weekend, game play blows Fifa out of the water, manager interviews for example makes Fifa's look amateur, no glitches and bugs either, the day PES gets more licenses Fifa is dead, and good riddance.

I find scoring goals so much more satisfying on PES.

Crossing is much better on PES than in FIFA.

When you hit a shot on FIFA and a defender blocks it, it will normally just stick to the defender but in PES they have got deflections spot on. Nothing better than seeing a keeper scramble across his line to stop a deflected shot for it to just creep in at the post.

I find the jump up to top player pretty difficult though and the commentary is terrible.

If you could take the best bits out of FIFA and PES and put them together we would have one hell of a football game to play.

Totally agree with you. PES is more enjoyable to play because the gameplay feels more realistic and responsive.

The body shape off players and touch off the ball and animations make the game better. Also scoring goals and shooting the ball is more fun to compared to FIFA.

The biggest problem for PES has always been the licensing but if you own a PS4/PC then its no problem to play with near real likeness.

I haven't really played Master League because the fake teams would annoy me because it would mean we see lots off fake players floating about on the transfer market with some fake players highly rated (Likely to be players off national teams with fake players names).

I just bought pes On the PS4 first time since playing pes on the ps2. Always bought Fifa. But I’m actually loving it the amount of editing options you have in master league blow me away things like changing seat colours in you’re stadium to changing advertisements editing strips colours and designs After first season so it doesn’t get stale. if you want to you could even upload new badges for you’re team. The gameplay has taken a wee while to get used to after all those years of playing Fifa but it’s so much fun once you get the hang of it. They could do a little to the menus but overall when I first played pes it was like it was Xmas when I first played Fifa 20 it was like this is the same as Fifa 19 18 17 etc so will it be Fifa 21 or PES?

I recently gave PES a shot. One very nice feature of the experience was that I didn’t feel constantly offended by the lack of polish, or by bugs that seem like they would be so easy to squash (or problems that would seem to be easy to fix - e.g., more realistic player values).

Perhaps that sounds weird. And I don’t mean to be bashing FIFA here. The game just has so much promise, and so many so frustrating problems that really should be easy to correct. Yet they aren’t. I mean press conference dialogue options that make no sense whatsoever, the way the scouted youth players look (Brazilian players all white, no black players, ever, in Sweden or whatever), their names (lots of mistakes), or their being so often left-footed, the silly player values, etc. This stuff should be easy to fix. Don’t mean to be complaining here. This is meant to be constructive feedback. The point is: with some polish, the game would feel so much more better. The players wouldn’t feel similarly unhappy or ripped off. There’d still be complaints, of course. But at least the CM players would, I imagine, be considerably more satisfied. (Which is not to say they’d be completely satisfied. Of course there are bigger changes they want, too.)

I’m still back to playing FIFA now. I thought the AI was very bad, at times, with players running away from the ball in rather surprising situations, etc. Also, I’m quite troubled by how PES handles regens - not that this would have impact on the game anytime soon. Also, the licenses are crucial for me, but with PS4 this wasn’t a big prob. I wish FIFA would allow for similar option files. This would make the game so much more cool. (E.g. by allowing the use of the realism mods available for PC.)

I switched to PES2020 as well after more than 10 years of FIFA.

Unless career mode in FIFA 21 will be improved massively I will stick with PES 2020. It seems to me EA only cares about Ultimate Team for making money inside the game. Really disappointing.

I tried PES 20 Lite, but wasn't that impressed.

When playing PES 20 on PS4, do other people experience it causes their PS4 fan to be loud?

The loud fan noise doesn't happen on any other games apart from PES 20 Lite and the PES 20 demo so it must be something particular about those games that is causing it.

In addition this, the gameplay lacks the flow and fluidity of FIFA, and feels stiff and outdated like its at least a decade out of date. That combined with the loud fan noise makes it an unappealing game. PES didn't even include commentary in the demo when its supposed to be a showcase for the full game.

Yeah the fan noise was insane. One of the reasons I went back to FIFA. Not a major one, but also not entirely insignificant.
