Enzo Fernandez is absolutely someone we should be looking to try and sign. I know I'm saying that on the back of him just scoring, but I've been trying to watch a fair bit of him this season with Benfica and he's been very impressive. Would be a very good alternative to FDJ

The rumors of him wanting to leave started as soon as he didn't report to pre season and then they were ultimately confirmed when he eventually officially requested to leave, which I assume is what ETH is referring to in the interview. Hell, Ronaldo seemed to have, whether intentional or not, fuel the rumors that the media was lying about him wanting to leave and that he actually wanted to stay with his statements about the media lying. Most of the media for most of the summer was saying he wanted to leave which turns out to be correct.

Ok, so I definitely misread that first tweet (I was pretty out of it last night ) my apologies. But again you've got like every reliable reporter out there saying Mendes was definitely shopping Ronaldo around and then several also reporting that towards the end he requested to leave. Even still, at the end of the window most reported he opted to stay. Because that's when all the memes began about him not being able to find someone to take him. So still don't really see where the media was wrong. I can believe that Ronaldo explored leaving, sent Mendes out, couldn't get any bites, and then came back and told ETH he wanted to stay. That's something I can believe, especially since Ronaldo essentially took 7 days to decide to inform ETH of his decision
And did Ronaldo ever drop his supposed truth stuff over all the supposedly false reports?
