Fifa 20 pro clubs - skill points from drop in games or not

Hi

I was wondering if you got skill points from drop ins now? In previous years you could keep playing drop ins, but you couldn't get skill points from them - you could only get skill points from pro clubs?

If the answer is still no I won't be getting the game. Thanks.

Pretty sure you can level up in Drop Ins this year but it won’t be skill points (like clubs) Attributes will just increase the more games you play.

You can rank up this year, but hardly. It's the skill points that give a massive boost to the pro.

I have no idea why you can't get them from drop ins. I have played pro clubs since it began, had multiple achievements on it. But drop ins are a rawer and easier to play mode, if I just have time for a game or two when my friends aren't on I play drop ins.

But I can't play very often, so if I can't gain skill points from drop ins it just isn't worth buying - I'll spend my time exercising or something instead, which is probably going to be better for me anyway, lol. Still, if drop ins are letting you get skill points now I'll buy this game definitely for when I don't want to do that, if they aren't going to be gained from all games (pro clubs, cups, drop ins - whatever) then definitely not. It seems strange to punish people for playing mostly drop ins when almost all clubs are badly run and play to a poor standard/cohesion. I find drop ins enjoyable in central midfield as a ball winner.

It also encourages club hopping to rank up, which is almost again the purity of the game mode itself. I'd prefer to be able to stick in one club as the squad stats get wiped when you leave it which is annoying too, there are other problems too with the mode but the lack of skill points from drop ins is by far the most stupid/illogical part in there - it really makes no sense to have it like that and punish honest players that just enjoy playing the game itself.

I agree mate. I’m not entirely sure if skill points are involved for drop ins....they might be. Maybe someone from the dev team can confirm or deny this.

    @EA_Andy

Yeah it would be ideal to get a confirmation about this.

    anyone know yet?
  • Do we know yet ?
  • I played around 12 drop in games each with different ratings (scored really high about 2-3 games) and I still didn’t had any points so my guess is no
  • So after playing 33 drop ins only, I didn't get a single point. I and some mates created a club, 1st game played, 3 pts. 3rd game, 3 more pts. Then we discussed if it is the case that pts are only awarded via clubs and not drop ins. Referred to the EA table about pts awarded for games played.

After 5th game, sure enough it was 5 pts. Pretty much confirms it for us. So yes, we would argue it's only through clubs. Drop ins won't give you a single skill point as what the points table shows.
  • Even though drop ins dont give you points, you still level some things. However it seems to matter less this year than previous years, as you really need the skill points

Skill points were never given through drop ins. Why is it bothering everyone now? It's always been this way.

Mostly i play drop in matches, it frustrates me i wont get any skillpoints from it.
I understand playing as a real team gets those points only.
Isnt it possible to give them in drop in games to but at a lower pace?
There should be a solution for this.

(Ps make sure to add crossplay available in fifa 21 or im not buying it anymore... just so u know)
