Because you're conditioned to FIFA's ultra unrealistic, ridiculous style of gameplay.

Played the demo and was absolutely shocking. Will always be in FIFA’s shadow hence fifa having almost 18 times as many players/sales.

PES isn't for me. Not touching Fifa though either. If Konami could sort the awful netcode, I'd switch in a heartbeat

20 will have slower pacing but it is still rough

Same. Gonna give NHL 20 a try. Probably been a decade since I’ve played a hockey game.

The mechanics on PES is just so flawed, every time I play it I can't ignore the fact that the physics is messed up too. The passing in general is better than Fifa's, and I don't mind the slower more realistic speed, but overall it isn't a solid game with much fewer licenses.

I want PES to be good because I dont like where fifa is going. But the player movement is just terrible. They look like robots gliding. The passing mechanics looks good though

For me, the actual problem is not PES better or what, is the addiction that FIFA promote that resulted the game is so popular and still playing when game play sucks. you probably find PES good and last about 1-2 months if no FIFA like contents and addiction elements.

Pes 20 will be good because Fifa 19 was this bad. When you learn to play PES, you'll might get frustrated, because for example Pes 19 has the same problems as Fifa 19.

There is only two bad choices...

Both of the game arcades, non of them represents a real football. Fifa 19 it will be my last football game in general, the love of football pushed me hard to this game. Now I am willing to be a football game free, I didn’t pre-order it, as usual, even I unsubscribed my psn +. I got the close beta code, I was so excited but after the 3rd game, I said that's it, not too much to say but abusing mechanics will be in the highest level ever.

Tells people to buy pes then gets up set when people don't like pes and calls them fifa fan boys
  • Play what you like, don't tell other people what to do.

If they added a Pro Clubs style mode, didn't have completely garbage gameplay and allowed for better controller customization (I can change my shoot button if I want but it also changes my tackling even though I want it left alone) then I would buy it.

But their version of UT is awful, their gameplay is awful, the graphics are better than FIFA but everything else is so far behind FIFA and considering we're in a period where FIFA is the worst its ever been and PES still can't capitilize on it, that speaks volumes for how bad PES is.

This is the thing, gameplay on fifa could be much worse than pes but its about the whole package. The market, the player base, the content, and for most of us on here, ultimate team. If there was no ultimate team I'd happily try pes.

Really I'm buying ultimate team 20, if pes developed their version further and slowly started to wrescle some of the fifa customer base somehow then it would take off even if the gameplay itself wasn't any better.

Takes a bit of time to get used to the different gameplay. Can’t just play a cpl of demo games and say it’s trash.

I would like 2k to make a crack at a footy game, I enjoy their games, recently bought their golf game and its very very good (usually buy tiger woods/rory versions from EA but they haven't released one in a while)

I look forward to all these PES converts crying when they find out online play on PES makes fifa look like heaven

I am not a PES convert, in fact, i started playing PES 18, then i bought fifa 18. That time i was only playing against CPU (Squad Battle). I get to compare two different way of playing, is just purely playing football simulation game.
Then come to mid 2018, i got my 300mbps fibre installed and i immediately pre-order fifa 19 because of one simple reason - FUT offers addictive colourful cards with ever improving Stats.

Since then i played >3000 matches until today, grind all the SBC, getting packs open from weekly objective, SB,DR, WL rewards. Like everyone else, hope for good pack luck whole year...hope for better game play by complaining in forum... and still here i am. Wrapping up fifa 19 with stacked team.... I admit I am addicted. I am just an average player, so i can't complaining much of my results. Basically, towards the end of these few months, button delay took over my passion to improve. Due to EA not listening and can't help everyone not near to server due to connection, i am not complaining anymore, just want to get a new life without FIFA.

I downloaded PES esport 20, tried it, even with the most wanted slow build up game play joy, you don't feel addictive like FIFA. I won't buy PES, also won't even touch Fifa 20. Enough is enough if you want to fight the addiction. There is more important thing in life than choosing these two games. Well, at least i have enjoyed playing football simulation games in full heart.

That was one of the worst demos I've played. That game would've barely been acceptable in 2012. Fifa has it's flaws but isn't as bad as PES.

To be fair playing beta 20 and pro evo 20 demo all week. The latter is miles ahead on gameplay. Unfortunately still will be let down on content.

Honestly don't see how anyone can argue that PES gameplay isn't better. Almost everything about it is more realistic and more natural. FIFA is designed for 12 year olds who love spamming 5 star skills and playing at 100mph, not fans of actual football.

Master League looks excellent this year, and a few tweaks to MyClub and that'll be great too.
