    Then again, I refer to Icons who are especially known because of their rare country.
    Like, I was a huge fan of Jari Litmanen, but he is absolutely not a world Icon. He is a Finnish Icon though.

    So how about;

    Marcelo Salas or Ivan Zamorano

    Zlatko Zahovic

    Giorgi Kinkladze

    Dwight Yorke

    Cuauthemoc Blanco

    Tore Andre Flo (I mean, why not)

    Marian Pahars

    Miklos Feher+ (died way too young)

    Anthony Yeboah

    George Weah (please come back)

    Roque Santa Cruz (same as Flo)

    Theodoris Zagorakis

    Karel Poborsky, Vladimir Smicer, Pavel Kuka, Jan Koller, Milan Baros, Allen Boksic, Zvonimir Boban

    Gica Popescu or Christian Chivu

    Red Star Belgrade stars; Savicevic, Mihajlovic, Mijatovic

    Litmanen was pure class playing in a CL winning team, Deco - well Deco is Deco, he was superb, Makele as good as has a position named after him and Butrageno is before my time but spent most of his career at Real and played a lot for Spain. Weird examples to use when you’ve got Nakata and Okocha.

    Personally I like it. They are called icons not legends for a reason.
