new year, new game, new broken mechanics
few points to address:
1) nutmegs
still in the game. which means if you are closing down on a player and he takes a shot. it still can go in even if you are covering the shot path. Great one EA.
2) Celebrations
new annoying celebrations were added to make the game more fun.
3) Crab walk
new crab walk introduced. just take a look at the video and see how unrealistic it will be
4) Penalties
players head still move to where you aim

Not that it matters for me anyway as I won't be buying it regardless.
exactly. just from a short video. you can tell that the game won't be promising.
same for me here. I'm skipping 20 fore sure. I just want people to not support EA and buy the game till they make a good game without any stupid gimmicks
The franchise really is in a bad state. I'm waiting until the new gen then will try again.
so FIFA 21. I'm in the same boat.
just afraid it will be the same code and engine. just better graphics (4k-8k with HDR)
If this is the case then I will be forced to just quit the game altogether. Not what I want as I've loved this game for over 20 years but if EA won't bother to give us a product that actually works like other games, then they don't deserve my money or time.

definitely going to give it a try around Christmas time.
Once again, all the focus on attacking gameplay meaning defending will again be broken, goalkeepers keep getting worse and they are taking us for a ride with fancy words like "active touch tackling"
defending and tackles were improved. and that's according to a lot of PROs and game changers who tried the game. but nutmegs are really annoying and they are still go in. which means. some matches you will defend perfectly to concede a nutmeg goal while you were covering the shot. (more RNG will lead to less skill gap, and more DDA)
totally agree. it feels like FIFA 19.2
looks so stupid and unrealistic. I don't know who at EA suggested to add that
Tackling looks better
Set pieces were fine for me had no issues scoring don't need arrows, massive circle all over screen use your brain.
Pens meh 50/50 anyway but do away with head movement jeez
Composed shot ?? Nothing new always in fifa 19 isn't it when holding LT,L2.
Overall not impressed.
it's the slow dribbling where players look like crab while doing it.
look at the video from 0:27-0:30
it was in FIFA 16 or 17. so OP that they had to take it out of the game

Oh, believe me... in FUT they will.
Kickoff mode tackling will probably be fine and dandy but as soon as we get in to the cluster**** which is ultimate team the **** will hit the fan again.

FIFA 17 and it's still in the game but just been nerfed alot.

it's still in the game. but doesn't feel the same at all. literally no one using it anymore. they nerfed it to the ground
I rarely use it but do from time to time just to pull backwards and let a runner through and play them in. It can be effective and unpredictable.
Genuinely looks like Fifa 19 tbh - no way I’m buying on release this year
There's no chance I'm buying FIFA 20 unless after a month or two after a couple of patches the reviews and gameplay videos are fantastic then I would consider giving it a go but let's face it we all know that's not happening.
I will be playing other games that are fun and work and if I want to have a few games of football I will stick 19 on as bar WL and Content it's just going to be the same mess all over again anyway.

They look like back in 03/04 when you could basically score every free kick 😂
I don't know why is it so hard to listen to the community and take the BS out of the game.
