Please keep these efforts going into fifa 20 ea. Responsive gameplay is ultimately what makes or breaks the game. Im hopefull. Please dont dissapoint!

Anything like this is a step forward even if it doesn’t work, we just need to see it being addressed.

First of all. It's nice to see that the issue is being looked into.
Since I use a router that is able to block "bad" servers, I experienced better gameplay (inconsistency is still a thing thou). In that list of blocked servers I observed a pattern, all the servers finishing by ...757a are those where I experienced bad gameplay. Maybe it's a coincidence, or maybe not.
First game post patch that I had was terrible. Guess what ... yes, a ...757a server.

Attached you can check my list. Just to note that the servers marked as GOOD I never experienced bad gameplay (or at least had playable GP).

Hope it can help solving this issue.

@EA_Andy looking through the forums I think it is neccesarry to further educate on the cause + effects the patch brings with it.

I have a technical (coding/networking/gaming industry) background so I can assume the benefits and the drawbacks of the changes.

But lots of people here are struggling to understand why they now have speedup lag where they didn't have it before..

For me it's logical as I understand netcode programming and am a professional dev, but for the casual user it's gotten from bad (sluggish, unresponsive gameplay) to worse (speedup lag), while it's actually a better and more desireable thing in general (as someone can actually fix the networking prequesites at home) instead of being on the mercy of the synchronizing/buffering end of the netcode..

Not surprisingly the update on the game has made it worse if that is even possible. Even slower than before worse RESPONSIVNESS, hats off genius tech team well done 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Can't help but think "too little, too late" for FIFA 19.

I actually felt that there was a positive difference after the patch. Game felt more responsive than normal. I mean, there are still crazy things happening, but at least it felt like I could control my players. I had high hopes for the weekend. But... Just played two matches and the game is back to "normal". Passes going opposite direction, players "pulling" in the wrong direction, slow turns, missing open shots.

I think I just lost hope... Been playing FIFA since '98, but seriously considering skipping the next FIFA for the first time since then. So frustrating!

Change had two effects for me. It seems like my input improved, but the game is more jerky. It is like the buffer is about 5 ms behind. It gives it an effect of the camera sort of vibrating subtlety. Not sure if this is better. It definitely is not worse though. We will see after weekend league.

While it is definitely better for me, WL is still unplayable.

It's just that instead of a nightmare it's just a horror story .

Ever since the update my fifa 19 cannot connect to ea servers! I play sbcs and I'm losing out on the fut swap players. Ea advisors have no clue what the cause is and are blaming the isp yet all my other ps4 games work like normal. I would like get this update removed.... How can I do that?

I played 3 rival matches last night in the UK and all three were unplayable due to speed up , slow down, screen freeze, button delay...you name it. I thought it might have been my connection but tested it twice and was showing over 30mb wireless with excellent signal strength. I waited when starting two of the games to watch the latency bar before entering the match and they were in the green and not moving for all of the games. What is going on? Honestly, this is the worst I have experienced ever in FIFA.

Gameplay felt slower then usual, I wish you could create a Managers face and also seeing generic managers on the sidelines is slightly dated considering the capabilities of EA Sports

Wireless is your problem. Download speed doesn't matter and those green bars are worthless..

Seriously, in over 700 games this fifa I've experienced minimal lag & bad game responsiveness...thought I must have been one of the lucky ones but last night & now tonight as well my connection to the seevers seems broken. I've run several tests & it's not my equipment. It seems rather coincidental that this has only started after the latest update?

It is not coincidental. It is exactly what they changed in the latest patch.. Before you would just have poor, muddy gameplay for you and your opponent due to your bad WiFi connection.

Now they turned down the lag compensation somewhat, so your bad WiFi connection now causes you feelable lag and on the other side less bad/muddy gameplay for your opponent if he has an actually acceptable connection and network setup for online gaming. You wouldn't play a fast paced, competitive shooter on a shoddy WiFi connection that causes you to miss hits - would you? So why would that be okay for FIFA? EA is making the mistake of trying to handhold and compensate for less than good network conditions and as a result a massive portion if the userbase has inconsistent and bad, muddy and unresponsive gameplay..

EA just aren't clear, transparent and honest about what they have changed in the last patch, but being cryptic as usual..

Imho they made a move in the right direction, punishing people with bad networks. But they completely fail to educate them about it. @EA_Andy ...

they rolled back the net code changes. now we are back to lag compensation and muddy gameplay. the real problem in this game is the match making. I get matched with people from turkey, palestine, middle-east all the time. how Am I supposed to have a good connection to someone who"s living thousands of miles from the servers location?

out of the 9 wl matches I played only 2 didn't have delay. and these 2 games were against people from the same country as me.

Ea, man up and admit you rolled back the changes. you caved in to the people who live far away from the servers, to the people playing on a shared router, on long distance wifi... How do you call this game e sports readu

This my first comment on the topic. I would like to thank u first because of your investigations on the subject,however I would like to express how disgusting, the game is right now.
I'm in morocco, I switched to fibre 100Mb, my avg ping to easo.ea.com is around 120ms which is bad i Know but not the worse.
In most of the games that I have played this year bust especially in july and august, the gameplay became very slow, randomly from time to time, I get a very good gameplay, but around 90% of the time, it's laggy and simply unplayable. This makes your customers sick because it affects only one side while the opponent is very fast.
Why you give attention to Middle east and not MENA??? Because they spend more that's clear however, we also play the game each year and we love football, we want a gameplay like the youtubers that make your promotions over the years.

I am livid I have gone from div 3 online seasons to div 7 because of your servers gameplay is so slow and unresponsive!

Just got told by live chat to post on here. Currently playing rivals and the gameplay is awful. One stage it was like a force field was around the ball stopping any of my players getting the ball. 2 games I have played lost both which is fine. But the players I lost to where awful genuinely awful. But the button delay i had was at least a couple of seconds. Icon rivaldo couldn't score from 4 yards for me. My ball was like a magnet to every post and fan in the crowd. Yet his players hit it from anywhere goal. At one stage my keeper for 3 of his goals dived after the ball hit the net.

Honestly just sort the game play out. Doesn't help I have no pack luck but when the game is playing like this all enjoyment goes out the window. Weekend league got 20 wins game running smoothly then you play rivals after work today and not one of my players could out run there team. Every skill or turn I did there player was on me. Dropped down to division 5 as a result.

Please sort you're serves out and allow for smooth gameplay like in squad battles.

@Yossi88, I feel you! I was 1410 Skill Rating (Gold 1 WL) and I've upgraded my team to 2 mil squad. After 2 days of Rivals I'm 1160 now (div 5) My games were like yours. 2+ sec delay and button input restriction. Also Lenglet faster than my Salah and ball goes trough my Matthaus's legs lol. I'm software engineer and I'm 100% sure this is not a server problem. You can have same ping to same server every day and night and you'll have different gameplay!

P.S. Don't buy Fifa points! They don't matter if you're not a pro player!

For me all they have done is slap a fifa 20 badge on fifa 19 it's no different still the same issues when playing online. All they do is pass you to this forum where nothing ever gets done. Only time anyone does anything is when a pro player complains.

I dont buy points anymore specially after all the issues and players randomly leaving my club then ea say I never had the player in the first place haha

This Company just doesn't deserve any FIFA point purchase.

I don't even care about the gameplay responsiveness. it's been years of fake promises. We are not stupid. You can't fix the responsiveness. That's for sure.

BUT YOU CAN FIX THE Gameplay Balance!

DIVISION RIVALS and WEEKEND LEAGUE - LOL... Worst inclusion ever.

Objectives are a joke now.

You guys don't have any option. Either You need to patch the modes into an open matching or add more game modes for eg:-

Online tournament

Online seasons


JUST REMOVE Competitive gaming. There are no more options. (if you have a little bit of intelligence left)

YOU HAVE MADE A GAME WHERE USERS DON'T EVEN ENJOY WINNING... it's insane

You can see every Streamer, Pro and so on, everyone says this Game is full of broken scriptet Trash. Potential? Ye, but its not used based on a bad Company called EA. We will never have a good Footballgame till EA trying to get through the 21th Century of Professionality.
