OT: Anyone up on PCs?

I’ve had a MacBook for about 6 years now so am well out of the loop when it comes to PCs. I’m looking for something that will be good enough to handle some modern games at reasonable settings.

I’m not on about having to run everything at max on the most demanding games out there, but something that’ll cope with moderate gaming.

Was looking at this, any good? It’s not billed as a gaming PC but 6 Core i5 processor, 6GB GPU and 16GB RAM, must be decent enough for a lot of games right?

Certainly a big jump up in spec since my last gaming rig all those years ago but I know games get more demanding too.

A lot depends on the model of i5. Ram and graphics you're sorted for

What about hard drive? Ssd or regular?

join up on overclockers forum, read a few posts on there, you will have your own system built in no time :-)

for what its worth, i got an old office pc and spent about £300 on upgrades, monitor, gaming kbm and it runs fortnite, GTA, apex fine. you might need to spend a bit more to run pubg well though.

I played FIFA 14-18 on PC.
I switched last year to Xbox as there were just too many hackers and EA refused to do something about it.

I do not recommend anyone to play FIFA on PC (well FIFA 19 doesn't work on any other platform either).

I made the complete switch to PC about 18 months ago and the learning mouse and keyboard process is one of the fun things about it.

PUBG was my main game after I switched too and it’s really unforgiving on spray control and peeking corners, so I learned the hard way. Fortnite made me sort out keybinds and get used to fast key usage as well as mouse buttons.
