4-3-3 is ideal for any opposition
For constant press the trick is quick 1-2s ,,holding the ball when under pressure,, long balls,, n self belief

I try to keep possession as much as possible and hope I'm still in the game at 60mins when their players get tired.

Yes, but it's still not as effective later in the game and their passing gets erratic but for some reason they can still race down the wings like a cheetah on steroids.

i use 4 4 2 and use procession as a tatic best way to get rid of pressing is keep the ball... pass even backwards if necessary. After the 60th min press urself when they are tired and then should win

I'm an elite player and find the best way to counter it is to lump it into midfield where one of my players will always be free because 6 of the opponents are bum rushing my box. Easy counter every time.

People who I play when I get to 20+ wins never seem to use the preset pressure feature unless losing. Usually the pressure from fast manual switching is good enough.

That also leads me to wonder, I switch fast and play a high line, that to some players that may feel like I am using a pressure tactic, which I am not. I'm just reading your next move before you do it.

Could that give the Illusion of a pressure tactic? It's possible right?

If it is that, then there is no easy way to beat it, you just have to not do the obvious play, cause the person defending to have to actually think. Use skills, keep possession. Put them in as many situations as possible where It's a mind game of whether you are going left or right or if he steps left to cover the passing lane you can heel to heel to his right and so on.

I use 4-3-3(3),i.e.,4-2-1-3,,,,two cdm's, one of whom is pretty flexible, n one being a strong does the trick for me
I also play my fullbacks on balanced rather than staying back,, helps a lot with counters

Possession really kills them,, but then u outta b pretty good at holding the ball
Passing back is a simple thing which many don't try,,,,

I'm always shocked at when I intentionally pick the non-obvious choice, how some opponents will still pick it it off. Like is this player actually thinking, okay, that's not the best pass so he'll go to the one that isn't the best choice? Just makes me laugh some times.

Also, whatever setting my opponent can run that absolutely drains my stamina is absolute garbage. It only happened once this WL, but my team was at half stamina in 25 minutes, without me being on team press or doing anything different than I do all my other games. Even though I was playing well, the guy eventually was able to just out-sprint me down the wings.

Also try to involve gk into game,, practice aerial passes,, they really frustrate some players using that tactic

You fight fire with fire. If someone is using this BS tactic go Team Press or change to constant pressure also. Try a very high depth defense and use a heavy middle formation.

Before I thought it was using possession/hug sidelines etc. Doesn't work for me.

Though 1 thing that really helps is you pass back the ball to your defenders and even GK if you are being smothered. Draw them in and long ball pass it to the wings. Usually it'll be open.

    Ice melts.

In the end, it all comes down to who has better connection/gameplay. You can't 'tactic' your way out of constant pressure when it feels like your players are in mud and they are passing what feels like a bowling ball around while everything is lagging on your end.

Don't be afraid to keep passing - it opens the space to play cross field balls and then you open up an entire flank to attack down. Most people will continue to blindly press you too so you can rinse and repeat. Use the GK to break the press as well. I find people charge the GK, clip the ball wide, play down the line. You will be 1v1 with the full back, man free in midfield. I also slow the game down so that I am not playing in to their hands. Fast paced clearly suits them so slow it down where you can, wait for the opposition to tire and then speed it back up.

Some people will disagree and say that its just as bad, but its good game management. The same way I have 4 other formations/tactics set on the d-pad instructions so I can quickly set up against certain types of opposition. If the guy wants to charge aimlessly around with 2/3 players and press the ball then I will bide my time and carve him open when everyone is out of position.

@Robbo_86 I haven't looked in a while but I use balanced 4 width 7 depth for defending and balanced everything else. I just have 1 cdm stay back and both full backs on stay back and trigger their runs manually as I find if I don't do it that way they think they are both wingers at the same time and end up with 2 defenders.

Suck them in until they bumrush you then lob a ball over to a winger/wide cam who will be in the open.
