Quick question, has there been any injuries to the Barca players over the weekend?

This is simply because we have Salah injured now, so we aren’t really expecting much out of this game.

Dembele is out with a muscle tear over the weekend vs celta

Ohh, I missed some of the first half of that game. Damn, he really does get injured a lot, but tbf he’s just a youngster.

Nope, the whole UCL starting XI were rested for todays game, lad.

Sounds tough with the Salah injury tbf.

Well that’s not surprising considering you guys have won your league already 😂

I’d say the chances of us winning the overall tie has decreased a lot with the Salah and Firmino injuries.

It makes me both happy and sad, because without them we will have an easier time. However, the game nessecairly wont be as good overall.

We’ll see what happens, I dont wanna jinx it.

The Suarez antics don’t bother me. Players should be allowed to celebrate. Don’t care if it’s home or away.

We’ll likely have a crazy formation tonight and some rumors that Rhian Brewster could start tonight. Great young talent who has been out injured the whole season.

End of the day I always believe in some Anfield magic but this Barca team is just so damn good this year. Can see a possible win for us tonight but at best it ends 2-1.

Thoughts on Valverde? Surely he has to go, no manager can survive embarrassment like this in two consecutive seasons.

The way we went at it, we didnt deserve to win it tbh. I’m more disappointed than I were from the Roma game.

He's getting sacked in the moooooorning....

Apart from a new coach, Barca needs to sign a striker who can play on the wings if needed.

    Options:
    Mbappe
    Rashford
    Dybala
    Martial

Mbappe is probably too expensive, where Dybala doesn't seem to click with Messi.
Rashford and Martial both will miss out on Champions League next season, which makes it "easier" to buy one of them from United. I think Rashford is the better player, so they should go for him.

Coutinho MUST play as a midfielder next season, he isn't good enough as a winger for Barca.

    Starting XI next season:

    Ter Stegen

Semedo (> rotate Roberto between RB and midfield)
Pique (> rotate with De Ligt)
    Umtiti
Alba (> Cucurella in the smaller games to gain experience)

Busquets (> rotate with Roberto, Puig in the smaller games to gain experience)
Arthur (> rotate with De Jong)
Coutinho (> Alena in the smaller games to gain experience)

    Messi
    Rashford (> rotate with Suarez)
Dembele (> if injured, play Rashford as a winger, Messi striker and Malcom on the right, NO COUTINHO)

    Bench:
New GK (> Cillessen wants to leave)
    Roberto
    De Ligt
    Lenglet
    Cucurella
    De Jong
    Puig
    Alena
Rafinha (> if he doesn't leave, if he does, Mata as a replacement?)
    Malcom
Suarez (> or a pinchhitter like Aduriz if Suarez wants to leave)

    Sell:
    Rakitic
    Vidal

Experience in every line, and enough talents to make sure Barca will be prepared for the post-Messi era. The older players are slowly will learn the talents to replace them in the long term, so Barca won't face the same problems that Real Madrid faced this season.

    Opinions?

De Light is no guarantee. In fact they are far off in negotiations. And if he does come, umtitti will be sold.

De Jong will start. Rakitic most likely gone

Vidal will stay and play a role.

Coutinho and Malcom will most likely be sold.

    Hopefully valverde is sacked

Imo keep Vidal. Would hate to see Rakitic gone, but a midfield of:

    Arthur Busquets De Jong

    Needs to happen.

I like Umtiti, but if it brings in De Ligt, then I’m all for him being sold.

Vidal, Aleña, Roberto need to be kept for midfield subs or rotation.

Coutinho needs to go because he’s just not worth it. Big loss there.
Malcom I’m 50/50. He can be brilliant at times, but then sometimes non existent and doesn’t get much playing time.
Dembele has to be our full time starter on the left because it’s killing us to not have anyone fast. He needs to do some serious physical workouts, or yoga to stay healthy.

Suarez needs to have some competition at striker because he’s just too relaxed. 5 goals in how many CL games? 20+??

I want to see Umtiti back in the starting line up, he’s too good to be sidelined for Lenglet. If we buy De Ligt, he can face out Pique. We’ll keep Lenglet for rotations.

Honestly, I want Busquets faced out and replaced. Sure, he’s a genius, but imo we need him to teach a new guy the ropes for the role. I think this is a really important step.

Coutinho needs to go, he’s wasting both his own time and ours. Dembele is a natural fit for our left wing, he’s just still so young with much to learn.

Our midfield will be briliant none the less, and a sub for Suarez would be fine. However, I think we should keep him, as he gives his all for the club. He’s one of the hardest working players on the pitch, even if he makes mistakes.

Semedo needs more game time, there’s no doubt about it.

Most important of all, we need a better fitting couch.

    Starting XI

    Ter Stegen
    Semedo - Pique/De Ligt - Umtiti/Lenglet - Alba/Miranda
    Busquets/Oriol
    De Jong/Puig - Arthur/Alena
    Messi - Suarez/??? - Dembele/Malcom?

Lets get some of the 💙❤️ DNA back into the squad. It will never happen if we constantly buy players.

You might be right, but I think Coutinho lost a lot of his confidence while playing in a Barca shirt, sadly.

If Valverde goes, I would love to see him get a chance in a new set up. If Valverde stays, Coutinho needs to go for his own best.

Coutinho needs to be played in midfield not as a winger. Even at Liverpool he was a dreadful winger 😂

Who gets sold to fund this transfer? Coutinho? Rakitic? Both I assume if Barca is really after him when his buy-out clause drops to 120m in July.

    I dunno tbh.

There’s a lot going on atm. I think we’re trying to sack our sports manager(Pep Segura) too.

So I think a lot could change within the next few days. The new couches are still just rumors after all.

I hope Valverde stays, but Martinez would be a great appointment.

Wigan before Martinez: 14th and 11th
    Wigan under Martinez: 16, 16, 15, and 18th (relegated)

Everton before Martinez: 7th and 6th
    Everton under Martinez: 5th, 11th, 11th (sacked)

He plays good football and is decent at coaching attacking, but he can't sort out a defense to save his life.

He may work out in La Liga, but he'll never win Barca a Champions League.

Either way, nothing will change in the club until 2021, when we can finally throw Bartomeu out.

We need a new president, someone who cares about La Masia and our many youth players.
