Despite the plethora of options at this stage in the game, I’m struggling to find a ST that fits the bill.
Wondering what you guys look for (stats or characteristics) and why?

Players like Ibra for me. Decent pace. Good dribbling and strength. And a great shot.

Others prefer more pacey amd agile players like Mertens and Aguero.

For me it’s a two striker formation with one of each type, using Ronaldo and Carniball Gomez at the moment and finding them to be the perfect combination

I use FB Ibra and Prime Raul. With PIM Socrates in behind.

I have Ibra and I do like using him but he’s a pain to link.
Really looking for someone who will attack crosses. Fed up of players with crap positioning in the box.

5* weak foot your opponent doesn’t know which side to defend

Just sold Eusebio gonna miss him until I do the SBC I have Butragueño but he doesn’t have 4* skills which are also important

CR7 is the perfect striker for me, he has scored something like 82 goals in 78 games for me in Division 1/2 and WL. He scores every header and just scores ridiculous goal after ridiculous goal. I like my strikers to have atleast 85 pace , good heading ,good agility and dribbling and atleast 4* on skill moves and weakfoot so strikers like Henry, Mbappe , Prime Crespo and CR7 are the only players that fit the bill. I found Ibra to be unreal in certain areas like heading and volleys but too slow and unagile for me.

Prime Henry and FB Ibra are my 2. Besides the crap gameplay I love playing with those 2. Ibra because by he's big and strong, and he wins every header. Henry is Henry. No explanation needed.

FB Villa is the perfect ST on this game for me. Decent pace, great dribbling and stregnth and a rocket on either left or right with that gold dust of a 5* wf. Play him at the side of PIM Kluivert who is just a big bully 🤣

@Mossup I would recommend checking out 88 Zapata . He’s got decent pace , height , 99 strength , good jumping 4*WF. Has like 13 goals in 8 games for me

    Workrates

    In that order

The connection and ea’s decision on who wins, so far this weekend, same team 5 wins with fs leao, 5 losses with mid r9, put in ucl Aguero 1 loss, put fs leao back in and guess what 1 win... on paper who’s the better striker? It’s up to EA and the mechanics of this game.

You forgot the most important thing first, pace.

    But honestly I’d go

    Shooting/finishing
    Weakfoot
    Dribbling
    Pace
    Skills

Height, strength, 95 finishing and 95 shot power are a must. Basically I use FB Zlatan and MIB MVB that should define my playstyle as these guys are perfection

I agree on weak foot and shooting but I do think agility and pace matter.
Just wish I knew what made strikers more likely to attack a cross and/or try to get in front of their defender.

I want someone strong who can hold off defenders, 5* WF or 90+ shooting with 4* WF, 95 finishing, decent passing, decent in the air and pacey.

CR7 is amazing, 94 Lewa is slightly better so far, especially with his hold up play, only downside are his longshots.

Think you’ve got a limited field of options here mate. Better start saving for R9

Got CR7 and Lewa, thats more than enough options, there is no mode where you can mess around with random players anyway. Can afford R9, but have no desire to use him. Lewa is my favourite player irl, will get his TOTS later.

Big, skilful players with a bit of pace. WF is a big bonus too.

I think I have the two biggest and most skilful players on the game.

nice looking teams, is Naldo any good for you? I tried him for a game and he felt awful on the ball, he feels more of a CB than a midfielder.

Cheers. Love him in midfield to be honest. Intercepts everything and I don't find him awful on the ball, although I don't really dribble much with him.

The most surprising thing is his shooting. It's not really his job, but I've played 56 games with him and he's scored 11 goals.

    Fair enough mate.
Liked Lewa in ‘18 but I have no Bundes this year, so he’s not an option unfortunately.

I personally like to have one big, one small.

    Tall:

    Good pace is helpful. 85+
    Deadly finishing is a must.
    Strength & hold up play.
Has to be great in the air.
    OK dribbling is nice.
    Short passing good.

    Small:

    Good pace again.
    Deadly finishing.
    Dribbling / skills.
    Great vision/link play.
    Brilliant passing.
    Good stamina to chase.

For me he must be technical but also strong in the air, tall, physical and somewhat pacey. So far CR7, FB Ibra and Socrates fit the list

    6 ft minimum
    Can pass
    Has at least 4* skills
4* weak foot is a plus
    Finishing of 85 minimum
    Can hold the ball up
Pace isn’t much of a factor as you can have fast wingers to put through.
