Does playing at home make a difference? Never really noticed it. Is it not just psychological? I've had games where I can't pass a ball to save my life both home and away.
I find if the oppo is intercepting everything in the 1st half, the roles will be reversed in the 2nd half and vice versa.
Considering that WL is on dedicated servers, it shouldnt be an issue. But considering the fact that DR is as well, and its a clear difference between playing home & away, its obviously an issue.
It puts me in first because my internet is stable. Everyone backs out. Takes me 15 mins to find someone to play me.

Bullcrap. never had a dc other than when my cat dc'd me so I would state my internet to be 'stable' and it takes me max 4 tries to get a game if dont care if I play home or away.

Over the past couple of months I've been keeping a note of whether I've been home or away in WL.
(for the record - I don't care)
49 home games 61% win % - 1.15 goal ratio (my goals v oppo's goals per game)
92 away games 50% win % - 0.94 goal ratio
So there's a difference, but nothing significant (and could well be caused by me coming up against pros / top level players who only play at home)
I get the same game experiences whether I'm playing at home or away - there are other factors that appear far more relevant (allegedly...)
What I find equally amusing and sad is the number of people that quit if they're away in DR.
I'm in Div 5 - you're unlikely to face to many pros there...
Annoy the hell out of me when I get home game 3-4 times in a roll and don’t get game. So stupid. They should of some sort of coin toss before game if you leave you get a lost after toss, like real game lol

This is my exact point. Being put on screen first to have people back out constantly is annoying. We all know you always finish in the same rank regardless but when you try to play and it takes an age to get a game it’s infuriating.
The larger issue us win at all costs and use every Meta ( hate that phase even), including disconnect glitches and quits while drawing when momentum shifts.
Again this is not all EAs fault a large part of this rests with us the players that insist on following Youtubers and their garbage propaganda.

Easier option would be to only show the latency bar and not the club/fut crest.

Matchmaking needs to be based on connection and not show anything. Straight to game. Back out it should then give you a loss.
All the pros play home only so they avoid each other and make it an easier route to the top 100. Wimps. Because of this all n00bs do the same to avoid the pros.
WL is basically people to chicken to play each other 🤣

It is not due to connection at all.
I gues it is even more toxic then DR are (yes even in div 5 you will meet people would will use crocetas and tornado crosses whole game long).
