What is the formation you’re using post patch? Barely see any 4231’s.

I tried different ones, but I can’t win a game for the life of me. So what formation are you using now, and why?

I switched back to 4321.....I also think that 41212 and 4132 are more effective post patch.

    Aren’t they too narrow?

    Isn’t that way too defensive?

didn't change formations after the patch
4-2-3-1 (2) - against people who don't use drop back (Press on heavy touch, 5 bars depth and width)
4-4-2 flat - against people who drop back deep (same CTs)

What attacking custom tactics are you using?

I use something similar in the 4-1-2-1-2 (2) or 4-4-2 Press on heavy touch, 6 bars depth and 5 width

I use balanced because if you choose something else like fast build up oR long balls, you will get predictable.
cut inside for the RM and LM
    FBs on balanced with overlap
my ST is Shevshenko with High/High and that suit my playstyle. I like how he come back in the middle to help with the build up. and while the ball with the CAM or CDMs he will make a run with no marking on him from CBs.
I don't touch the CDMs or the CMs, I feel they perform better with default Cts

    Thanks

I am gonna try out these attacking tactics and see how I get on.

I don't think any of those formations are narrow, narrow would be 41212(2) and 4312.

    Solid at the back
Wingbacks provide width and are often unmarked, best to have ones that are High/Low or High/Medium. Marcelo the best so far.
    2 strikers
Middle CM i give a free role and instructions to get forward, basically plays as a CAM but help out defensively too.

Whichever formation allows you to get the most of your players in your own box should do it

It’s pretty much 343 with more defensive cover, 5/6 players bombing forward to overwhelm my opponent and 3/4 back to cover a counter.

Naingolan is my box to box, but set to get forward and ucl Allan is there to break up play, my wingers are set to stay forward, get in behind and free roam...wing backs, join attack and overlap

    Why?

4222 because of the balance throughout the team, both CAMs get into great attacking positions and with the two CDMs it's still tidy at the back.
