Sol Campbell playing ST when defending corners

Hi all,

What kind of rubbish is this? When defending corners, Sol Campbell is the only player not in the box. He’s playing as striker which mean Aguero is defending!

Anyone else seen similar. It doesn’t make any sense?

It's so stupid. When I used FUTMAS Torreira he always defended the near post and my UEL Tah was never in the box when I had a corner.

I have this a lot. Sometimes have Zanetti (50 jumping) defending near post against 6'5" 99 jumping Zlatan when I have TOTY VVD available but hes marking the edge-of-box

Why cant we just decide in tactics where our players stand for corners?

As a side note generally when anything is talked about as "being a simple fix" it rarely is.

I get that its not simple. Proper annoying though.

I'm not even that bothered about the short man on the post because i can select another player. But Sol Campbell get ready to GIB is not right.

Same for me. Umtiti is always the only person upfield during corners instead of defending in the box where he should be. Super annoying, and sometimes costly.

As a side note generally when anything is talked about as "being a simple fix" it rarely is.

I understand it's not a simple fix but these are issues that shouldn't be in the game on release.

@EA_Andy but it is simple tho. Players with height, jumping,heading should be in good position for corners. My Maldini oustide of box to defend corner while Kante,Neymar,Mbappe is in the box.

It's a easy fix but they probably don't care cause it doesn't cost them money. They fix their icon sbc set 4 cause it cost them money. Same as with formation bug. It's in the game since day 1 still not fixed

This has been happening to me lately, strange thing is it’s always random, one game marking near post or in box next time my best heading cb is spearheading my counter

What annoys me more than this is having both my CB in the wall on indirect free kicks and having to try and rush one of them back to defend the cross into the box,

Saying "it should be like this" isn't a fix.

That's a suggestion for how it should work.

Like I say, the team are aware of the community feedback about this but it's not something that can be easily and quickly fixed.

Why can't it be easily fixed? The game is intelligent enough to know who your shortest player is and consistently places him to defend the first post? It always puts one cb outside the box, if you're defending or attacking. It makes 0 sense and it has been going on for years.

Only reasonable explanation is that EA wants it like this @EA_Andy

You'd think a company of eas stature and how long you've making these games for the team would be able to address such issues after the years that this has been going on @EA_Andy. Why was it even ever coded that a cb would wait outside the box defending a corner, your shortest player defends the near post against the attacking striker also you can pretty much guarantee your slowest player waits on the halfway line for the counter.

It's basic football. Very basic.
