Seriously? Someone enlighten me, as I genuinely do not see any difference. Sick of people backing out repeatedly in WL. I just play irrespective of whether I am home or away.
It's all in the head of the kids and child minded adults that play this game. I'm sure that doesn't matter. But if a popular YouTube dude says something, a bunch of sheeps follow him.

I dunno, I'm normally the first to suggest everything is in people's heads but since the last patch that altered the net code, I definitely started to notice more input lag in games where I was drawn away.
It could well be confirmation bias or just coincidence but I'm not exactly 100% convinced.
Whilst their severs are never great, this is definitely the worst FIFA in recent memory for connection. I imagine everyone on rivals instead of peer to peer divisions doesn't help them.

My personal experience is the opposite. There used to be a noticeable increase in delay when you're "away", but now they're both the same to me.
Most if not all pros play at home so less chance of facing a pro if you play at home. It's stupid as you shouldn't be able to cherry pick and EA should have fixed this already

I would imagine this is something to do with the quality of our connections.
The patch wasn't a "fix" as such it was just a change in how the game attempts to compensate for one player having much higher ping than the other.
Players with naturally higher latency probably experienced a much different change after the patch than those with much less.
I'm on fibre but barely, I've got a pretty awful BT Infinity line that manages about 50 if I'm lucky. Plus the usual potato of a router they send by default.
