Winning the clearance off a corner????

Doesn’t matter if I’m attacking or defending, I rarely ever (if ever) seem to be able to clear to my player or have a player in the right spot to receive a clearance.
Any suggestions on how I can change this bloody annoying trend??

In custom tactics change the corner settings so less players are in the box. I have it on two bars.

I do too. I’ve tried fiddling with these but it doesn’t seem to make much difference.

I have the same issue, I would say on average, 9 out of 10 the clearance goes to my opponent. Tried every setting and cant figure it out, maybe its the formation ...

Same here. Its weird that most of my clearence doesnt go to my player attack or defending. Yet his goes to him and he can start counter attack.

This is programmed that way it’s terrible and Not random if you notice the ball goes directly to the opponent

If anyone has any tactical/formation solutions, I’d be interested to hear them

More annoying is that my main CB is never in the box to defend a corner. Whether it's Rio or Ramos they're outside waiting on a counter attack FFS.

If you're spamming B, it's going to "clear" it to safety the easiest way it can. You'll concede the most repeat corners and turn over possession the most that way but you'll also win the most first time balls.

If you use A and properly aim for one of your players you're more likely to retain possession but you're also more likely to be beaten to it and concede.

So uh, up to you.

Given how hard it is to actually counter and score off a corner these days without being chased down its probably not worth the risk. I personally take a CB to the near post and spam B.

Don't concede many at all that way.

Tbf I don’t concede many goals from corners and I agree that clearing rather than attempting to pass is safest, it’s just galling that clearances often fall to their players (when attacking or defending) and/or my players are so slow to get out of the box when defending.

I've had this problem since last fifa maybe even before. Made a couple threads on it last year. I get a corner, gets cleared and majority of thr time it drops to my opponents attacker to counter, I clear a corner, majority of thr time itb drops to his player still. Absolutely infuriating

I just stick CR7 on the near post now. Best corner defender in the game.

I used to use X to clear the ball, not advisable if you have a little delay....I gave away a few penalties due to players sliding in for the challenge rather than heading...
